The addition of a new touchscreen and Android Auto give techies a lot to like about the redesigned 2020 Lexus RX.

Meh, big deal. I really like my like my '17 f-sport especially after the TSB's. I'm unusual I like the mouse, as to navigation 9 out of 10 times I actually know where I'm going and when I don't the phone talks to me.
So just what am I getting for my $15,000 upgrade, Enform?? Oh wait a minute, a place to put my phone, that would be convenient.

I wouldn't upgrade a car to get some software-based functionality. They could take that away if they wanted, just like they did Pandora and other apps. Crappy way to do business on Lexus' part.

I think the 2020 will certainly appeal to new buyers. I don't see it drawing a lot of existing buyers except maybe those at the end of a lease and want an RX again. Apple/Android play and touch screen is not a lot to restart the clock on payments.

And the touch screen seems pretty far away to actually use. If it's in the same spot as my 16, I'd have to lean forward and stretch which is something I would not want to do while driving. I really don't even like using the mouse when driving.

I think the next gen will potentially be of more interest.

Looks like it also has a touch mouse pad on the console, which would be better than leaning to touch the screen.

Track pad same as the new ES. Works well and you don't even need a touch screen with that.

Does anyone know if a Lexus installed dashcam will be available in the US? I am pretty sure Cadillac offers a front and rear recording system for their new models including the XT5.

It should, it has been available in Canada at least since the 2017 MY. About CA$500 installed

Just a quick thought: I think its about time that car makers include those dashcam if they haven't already, especially some cars already have camera installed all around for other safety features. I don't know if lexus have any models that have it. If not, it'd be nice to see it in their future cars.

Lexus sells a dashcam that can be bought as an add-on but it’s very expensive (closer to $1000 I think in Canada)

Thanks My memory was a little off. Depends on which dealer you go to I guess. Some say as low as 450+HST other say 580+HST which is around $655. Higher for other models ($889 taxes in for LX)

Still a lot of money far a camera, when you can get a good one for CA$100. It may not do all the things this one does and may not be as neat in appearance, but at least it's transferable.
