Coolant Replacement FKS

Coolant Replacement FKS
Wondering if anyone has done the coolant change on the 2GR - FKS.
Car Care Nut did a video on the old engine and said that the newer FKS is much more difficult....I assume that the bleeder is gone or more difficult to access.
Could not find a thread here or any videos on YouTube.

The official Toyota procedure exists, not that it is a simple one:

According to Gen3 Tacoma owners (Taco 2016-present has same engine), there is no bleeder valve. Also, schematics show a drain valve for each cylinder bank but they have only found the one on the passenger side.
Also found a youtube video for 2019 Camry fluid service, but done on a hybrid; the mechanic mentions non-hybrid models.

On my old Acura it was drain and fill with no spill funnel kit. I will poke around a bit more to find more info. Forgot to look on forums of other vehicles with same engine.

I've done just a drain a fill of the radiator at around 100k miles. Coolant looked pretty good, so didn't drain the block. It's pretty straightforward to drain the radiator and the no-spill funnel kit was good but the way the radiator cap is situated can make it tip over, so keep an eye on it.

Here's an interesting item -- apparently the Toyota Avalon also uses the 2GR FKS engine. Upon searching for the coolant drain procedure for that model, I found this site:
https://www.tavalon.net/138/2gr_fks_coolant.html
Here's the interesting part -- this diagram shows the engine block drain plug in a different (and much more logical) location than the Tacoma diagram (which appears to show it on left cylinder head!).

I put out a request to Viktor to do a video on the topic and he said that he will add it to his list.....his videos are great, but I am sure that he is a busy guy.
I might at some point log into TIS with a 2 day subscription to download a few files that I neglected to grab when I first purchased by vehicle in 2020.
If you find out any information, please post and let us know.

I knew that there was a post....just forgot that I was the one who started it.

As I said, the 2 day subscription to TIS is in my opinion worth the price since you can download almost every common service file with procedures, parts, specs, etc. I can not promise that the full coolant procedure is in there, but I can't image why it would not be.

Turns out that I have the TIS document for the procedure.
It appears that there is a Cylinder Block Drain **** Plug on the driver side of the engine in a similar position as posted in the link from dibl in post 2.
I have not looked but I am guessing that the location is a pain to reach.
The procedure requires several squeezes of the number 1 and number 2 hoses.
As mentioned previously The Car Care Nut does this on the old version of the RX engine and then mentions that it is not as easy on the FKS.
I still have some time and hope to find a specific video for our vehicle.
