there is a way you can hook it up to the rear view mirror using a 3rd party cable.

It does say on the website that digital mirrors are not compatible.

Has anyone in South Florida installed the Lexus Integrated Dashcam at the dealer? I called two dealers and they want to charge 2 hours @ $220/Hours to install it. Total, including the dashcam $780.

Yes, I recently installed it on my IS 350. I took it to Lexus of West Kendall. I paid $648 total with taxes. It’s costly. You can buy the cam online via their parts website, $255, and select ship to dealer. (it’s more if you let them order for you). The labor is expensive. Unless you do it yourself. They charged me $348 for labor. I called 3 dealers and only this one knew pricing and what it was. Not a lot of people at Lexus know they sell an integrated dash cam. If you do call, ask for Yunior. He’s the only advisor that knew about the dash cam.

Thank you CarlitoIS. I will reach out to Yunior. Did the wiring harness come with the dashcam? or was it provided as part of the labor? Thanks again.

Yeah he told me I needed a wiring harness but included that part at no cost. He told me that after the dash cam was installed.

Dealer installed the Lexus dashcam today. They were able to do it on the driver side, which makes more sense.

That's amazing, no other dealers for the last year could figure out how to install it on the left side even though one of the brochures showed it there.

Wow awesome. Did you actually go to Lexus of West Kendall? I’m guessing since mine’s an IS. There isn’t a way to install it on the drivers side. From what I’ve seen. But I wish it was possible. Honestly, I sometimes forget I have it since I can’t see it.

Yes. Yunior at Lexus of West Kendal came through. They did a great job. Thanks for the tip.

Hello Friends,

Wanted to share my recently completed DIY dash cam install and what worked. Decided to not go OEM because expected dash cam life is 2-3 years so I view it as a consumable product that will be replaced at some point. My unit was a Viofo A119 Mini 2, selected for small footprint and screen. I wanted the screen so the dash cam could be set up and used without an app (one is available), Read reviews and you will see that dash cam apps are buggy and complicated. I installed a Dongar 10-pin type B connector to power the dash cam from the interior rear mirror. That is the connector version that Dongar says fits the 2023 RX 350 and it worked for me.

I did not record my installation but Dongar has a video of an RX 350 that I followed. For my Premium model with digital mirror, the pin for the connector was the second from the left (driver side).

Easy and clean. Hardest part was removing the plastic covers to install the Dongar connector.
