Are Triple Beam Headlights worth the upgrade?

Yet the stock ones would have been just a little bit better in most areas according to IIHS testing (post #18). For throwing light down the road, both are good. Triple beams get you the more aggressive look, nice cornering lights, and front LED turn signals. They were a must have for us.

Apparently for 2024 RX 350 this option PREMIUM TRIPLE-BEAM LED HEADLAMPS, HEADLAMP WASHERS AND CORNERING LAMPS available only for Luxury trim. Is there any real difference between regular headlights and those triple beam? Is it worth extra $6-7K difference between P+ and Luxury?

The triple beams are very nice IMHO but NHTSA does not rate them better than the stock headlights. Don’t go luxury trim for them. If you have rear passengers often though, they would appreciate the pano roof and heated/ventilated rear seats.

Here is the IIHS testing on both types of headlights: https://www.iihs.org/ratings/vehicle...023#headlights
if you want LED front turn signals and cornering lamps, you’ll need to get the triple beams.

Also i hope lexus improves the RX in the future for its side structure, its side impact driver pelvis protection, and its passenger small overlap. interestingly enough, the prior gen RX did better in the small overlap passenger, and likely is better in the first two i mentioned.

The triple beams are cool looking but, because of them forcing a package on you to get them, they are expensive!

That is by design. The left side is oncoming traffic while the right side normally doesn't shine into oncoming cars and helps to see wildlife and such. VWs with adaptive lights in Europe actually use the GPS to swap the right side lower when in Great Britain and driving on the left side of the road.

I recently purchased the RX350 Prem+ AWD - it came without bi-level led's.... When compared to my 23 ford f150 tremor 402a package - they're not too bad. My tremor has bi-level led adaptive lighting and self leveling lights. They're awesome. Both are comparable and I'm very happy with the performance on both.
