I’ve had previous generation of rx where cargo space was good enough ( departure roof slope really eats up space)
I also loved the reclining rear seats.

I could not find any online video that compares the cargo room and rear reclining features. I read that the seats do not fold flat as well

can current owners of 5th gen share your thoughts please? I do not own 5th gen (yet) and leaning towards mdx because of that.

 

Can't help with a direct measurement, but the rear seats do not fold flat either. This ain't no mini-van so if space is important, look elsewhere.

 

Previous gen had fold flat seats though. And the space was good enough.
Maybe RX is compact crossover now to keep room for TX in the lineup.
