I had two choices, either go for a well optioned grey color premium or jump to a red premium +. The price was almost the same for the two and even though I don't like red that much it didn't make sense to get the premium. If the prem+ was riding 21's I likely would have stuck with the premium, rims size matters that much to me because the roads where I live are pretty bad and as you mentioned...more options to get new tires and at perhaps lower cost. The car rides great and I am sure the smaller rims help in that regard.

This is sort of an extended rant but Lexus options are all over the place. This prem + was a strangely optioned one with 19 inch rims but also had the heads up display, kick sensor trunk, digital rear view mirror...but no illuminated door sills for example. Also it didn't have the door moldings and ppf film as port installed options. Every RX I saw had options I liked and didn't like, there was no 'just right' for me, I had to settle for good enough. The tight supply of course didn't help.

The 21” Goodyears that are on my 350h are more than ample for now.

for those who are Costco members, they often have very good deals on either Michelin or Bridgestone tires, although selection is always pretty limited ....And for those who care a lot about nitrogen (not me, particularly) they throw that in gratis.....

Yes, but this changes all the time. It's definitely true that they often don't have what you're looking for, but it's worth checking periodically.

Yes and when I tried to use them for purchasing my RX their system said they did not have any contracted dealers in my area. (Richmond Va area)

It's not just Costco as Discount Tire says the same also. Car is too new with not common tire sizes and hopefully will change soon but if need a tire today there is a problem.

You can always get from tire rack but it would take a few days to ship.

yep, it's just going to take some time...I'm in no hurry to buy winter tires (yet) but there's nothing available in my area....in a few months there should be.

Costco has tires for the RX but they are special order and you have to call them. This from experience ordering a new Primacy at 2000 miles,

Called Costco and they were familiar with the car and have nothing available for a regular tire for it yet because of weird size but they did have a winter size that would work. This should all be corrected in the future.

Default tires

Will 245-45-21 tires fit ok on 2023 rx350h. Original tires are 235-50-21. Thinking of better options than the oem Bridgestones and Goodyears. MICHELIN CROSSCLIMATE2 have that size.

‘Both Discount Tire and Lexus says it does. It is my only option to get the CC2 tires.
