I humbly apologize. I am the original poster and my car has Goodyears and I knew that. Had a brain freeze! I have a tread gauge and they were definitely 10/32nds when new.

No worries - was hoping there was an option just not available online yet. I'm not a fan of the odd sizes Lexus uses. Lack of selection leads to higher prices when time to replace.

I have 21s. At 5K miles, I see no wear. I try to keep them at 40 psi.

I'm expecting to replace them between 30K and 35K miles. Hopefully, there will be some choices then. I'm liking these Goodyears, so far. There are many tires that have increased road noise after 10K miles, or so. Hoping these stay quiet.

I don't love the Michelin "all seasons" the car came with, but fine as a warm weather tire. Still waiting to find some good snows

You are lucky that you got a Michelin. It's still better than our goodyear.

Like I said in an earlier post I didn't know Michelin made the tire. Please let us know which Michelin it is and the size. It is September and Discount Tire still does not have a listing for the new RX. Something is wrong there. Why would Lexus pick an odd size with limited choices and availability?

Lexus probably picked this because Goodyear and Bridgestone gave them a great deal price wise and since there are only 2 tire companies they have a mini- monopoly on that size.

Last two sets of Michelins I got were noisy and the more miles you put on them the louder they got. So far the Goodyears have been silent. I will likely buy the Goodyears again unless I find better and I have been a Michelin user for 20+ years.

Mine are the 19" tires (the thread has kind of morphed into a 21" discussion, I can see that)...Michelin Primacy, 235/60/19 "All Season" though I would emphasize that the tread pattern (very small side grooves) is nothing I'd want to use in snow. Fine for non Winter use.

Default All Weather Tire Options

Thanks to Lexus for choosing a really unique tire size for the 19" rims, getting All Weather tires has been fun. For winters, recall that Michelin X-Ice are an exact match, but I'm not interested in swapping tires/rims, etc. These are all within a percent or so of circumference. So here are some options (all approx. prices include balance and mounting, enviro fees, and in CAD).

My #1 Choice:
- 255/55/19 Nokian WRG4 SUV 111V XL - $1500

Also
- 255/55/19 Michelin Cross Climate 2 XL 111V - $1600 (note the tire gal said some sizes wear really fast and have been recalled)
- 245/55/19 Nokian WRG4 SUV 103H - $1250
- 245/55/19 Michelin Cross Climate 2 CUV - $1275
- 235/55/19 Nokian WRG4 SUV 105V XL - $1225

Tirecalculator.com will give the match-ups with OEM if the nerd in you needs to know.

On a similar note, how come there’s only two tires shown on Tire Rack? I was hoping the Michelin CrossClimate2 would be available when time comes to replace the tires.

I think not enough demand yet.

I wonder how well a 265X45R21 would fit - anybody done this?

A good variety in that size (Michelin, Continental, Toyo, etc.) and has a close match in terms of overall diameter.

It's just an odd size that hasn't been used before. Hopefully, Michelin and others will be releasing more tires in that size over time. It would have been nice if Lexus had stuck to 20", as there are a ton of options in 235/55-20. If better tires are not available when it comes time for replacements, I'll be seriously considering a change to 20s

Even the 19" tires are a rare size.
