Default Rattles in new RX350H

I've noticed two rattles in my ten day old RX Premium...one coming from inside the passenger door and one from the hatch area.
Both rattles only occur when driving over rough roads.

I'm planning on taking the car to the dealer for the door rattle and for the hatch to empty it first and then to identify the rattle, perhaps its the sliding hatch cover...

I don't think that these are serious issues but would like to get them resolved ...any thoughts or ideas?

Sounds can echo. Check and make sure there is nothing in any of the door pockets, cupholders, etc., that is loose that may cause the issue. Even something in the way-back can throw sound and make it seem like it is coming from somewhere else.

I have the same thing in the door. I think it is the seat belt retraction mechanism though. When I pull the seat belt tight going over rough roads, I don’t seem to hear the rattle. As you say, it is just periodically over rough roads for me.

Thanks for the idea…I’ll try driving with the passenger seat belt engaged.

Sun visor also, if it's not snapped in place

Found first rattle…its from the overhead eyeglass case. The eyeglasses nose pieces were rattling and the case is like an echo chamber. Going to change out the nose pieces.

What does “nose piece”’ mean here? Something in the eyeglasses themselves or something that’s part of the car/eyeglass case? For those of us who rarely use this, is there something we should do to prevent potential rattles?

eyeglass nose pieces - the plastic pieces that rest on your nose. Keep your glasses in their case.

Ok then. I guess this isn’t a car issue.

Were these both resolved?

I have had mine for 6 weeks and have not had the same issue, hopefully it gets resolved for you.

The first rattle was from my sunglasses - it goes away when I put them on. The second went away on its own - I think it was the rear hatch cover. The sunglass issue is that the storage area in the center console does not hold the glasses tight and they rattle.

Good to know about the sunglasses, haven't used that yet. Cheers

The sun visor is the source of a rattle for me. Specifically, it is coming from the mirror door cover. It's very loud and at first, the rattle seemed like it was coming from the roof or even the back. It was that mirror cover all along. Not sure what the fix is.
