My 19" Nokian WRG4's are not the exact same (silly) OEM size but are 0.3% of the circumference.

0.3% is great. I'm looking at -3.0% with the 245/45R21

Why not downsize to 20" or even 19" snow tires? You will save a small fortune.

I only need snow capability a few times a year. Severe winter rated All-Season tires fit the bill perfectly for me. The Michelin CrossClimate 2 pleased me in every way. When the time comes, if there are not better choices, I'll certainly be looking at 20" wheels. There are a ton of choices in 235/55R20 and that would only be -0.3% off.

This statement is very true, in addition to having many more tire options to choose from. Your situation is different than mine, of course, but if you plan on keeping the car for many years this may be a good option to consider.

My L came with the 21" tires even though I really didn't want them. Unfortunately, pretty much all of the RX350's making it to my location were fitted with the 21" tires, for whatever reason, so I didn't have a choice.

I purchased a second set of 19" wheels and paired them with studded Nokian Hakkapeliitta tires for my snowy/icy and long winters. Also, as Eagleboy99 stated previously, the Nokian WR's are a great choice for year-round use. I used the previous generations (G2 & G3) for many years and were very happy with them.

We have our first Winter Weather Advisory tomorrow for some ice and light snow, and I just got my new Ice-X snow tires, but I think I'll be prudent and stay at home. Much more interested in trying them out in snow than on glare ice.

Hi,

I'm from Poland, and We have in Europe RX500h only on 21's. Size like 235/50 R21 is possible to buy only from Michelin, Pirelli and one china producer for winter. We can't mess with the dimention of the tires, becouse our insurance companies could not pay, if car is on differend tire size than producer choose. Profile 50 is like 200-300$ more costely than 45 or 55 ... What I can say ... Europe ...

Regards

I am not sure why Lexus used such weird tire sizes. I had a hard time selling my new Michelin Primacy AS tires. Only got $400 for four brand new tires. The Primacy tires sell for about $430 EACH up here.

Yikes, only about $230 apiece here, but of course there's the Canadian dollar issue which puts your price around $300 US, right?

Just swapped tires on our RX 350h with the 19" Premium trim wheels. Went with the Michelin CrossClimate 2 in the 245/55R19 size because it was the closest in overall diameter to the stock 235/60R19 tires. Visually I can tell they are a little bit smaller and fill out the wheel wells less, but they have been great so far. However, I just noticed Michelin has released the CrossClimate 2 in 235/60R19 size! This must have happened within the last couple weeks, because they didn't exist when I ordered a couple weeks ago.

Default 2024 Lexus RX350 Sport 2 winter tires size

I just spoke to the Lexus dealership and they said the smallest rim for the F sport is a 20-in rim?

Is anyone else heard anything different? I know it's got massive calipers so I'm thinking that's the reason?

Got my tires today at Kal Tire. I have 21 inch so they gave me 255/55R19 NOK HKR5 SUV 111R XL ($345 CAD X 4) plus 19 inch steels for ($163 X 4). Didn't pay extra for tire pressure monitoring.

Rust kind of scares me is this normal for a newish car (Feb 2023) with 8k km, stored indoors, and never having been driven in snow? I'm in Vancouver so we have rain but no salt on the roads yet.

PS: Got my second key at service yesterday.

Hakkas are great tires. Don't forget the $75/set rebate!
As for the rust, I am not a fan of steel rims. And the axle? Use some Boeshield or similar rust preventer since you have no centre caps.

In my experience, it is typical for metal such as the axle stubs to develop surface rust. When I see that, I smear the metal with a thin coat of grease or anti-seize. With steel rims, a coat of grease at the hub<--> wheel mating point is beneficial, too.
