What does traffic jam assist give you?
One of my gripes is they all seem to come with traffic jam assist. I might sit through two cycles of a light in my city twice a year. No such thing as traffic jams so it’s $620 for something that will never be used for the three years it will be active. If used at all it will be rare trips to larger cities 200 miles away.

My car has traffic jam assist but I'm confused. The other day I was on a local road with radar cruise on. The traffic slowed to a stop. The car slowed and stopped by it's self but did not resume. The car prompted me to resume. I thought traffic jam assist was suppose to resume automatically? Maybe the car was just using the radar cruise and not the traffic jam assist?

Looking at the dealers around my area - March has been a low allocation month, not many cars arriving. My dealer did warn me in December that allocations to the northeast are lower in the winter months, because sales are lower in the winter (they send more cars to other parts of the country) - except that this year, we had zero snow here. I am hoping things pick up now for April allocations.

As I said, both my cars’ cruise work in stop and go traffic. Foot free. So if the only difference is hands free, in my opinion it’s not worth it.

Do you need the car connected to 4g service and does your phone need to be connected to wifi to get the traffic jam data or is it just the car camera and sensors? Other than allowing the radar cruise control to go hands free in traffic and restart you from a stop, does this do anything more than the regular radar cruise control?

I used TJA today for the first time. The start stop function worked just fine, but it did not seem as though the lane keep assist for hands free was working. The car seemed to drift. Maybe I was just trying to correct the steering too quickly?
