What is this black box on windshield?

Default What is this black box on windshield?
Can anyone tell me what this is on the right, passenger side of my rearview mirror?



The car is a 23 RX 350h. It looks like a dash cam, but I assume it's not, as it's not mentioned on any of the car's paperwork.

It is your rain sensor for your automatic wipers.

That thing is hideous, never had a car with such a large rain sensor stuck on the windshield. It's a safety Hazzard !!!

and people install those phone mount on the windshield is not a safety hazard!?
