How To Make Horn Beep In Parking Lot?
#31
Update: I “lost” my car today in the big, noisy, rainy Sam’s Club/SuperWalmart today and a “honk horn” function would have been very helpful. The so-called “buzzer” function could not be heard at all.
But I found a work-around. The fairly worthless app map, showing where the car was last parked from a bird’s eye view, links to Apple Maps by tapping. Then select “go” and use the walking option. Still not as elegant as the simple “honk”, but works.

I contacted my local dealer's technical support person about why some RX vehicles have the horn button in the app and others do not. He was unable to come up with an answer.

Thanks for that update. I would assume as more of these get sold and on the road there will be some sort of reconciliation of the inconsistency.

Thanks for the heads up. Mine still says Apple version 2.1.3 is up to date and no horn option.

Daryl, it's in settings. Go to settings and scroll down to the Lexus app. Open it and look at the list of options you have given Lexus permission to perform. On mine it's second to last. I assume if it's off, Lexus can't update or "refresh" the app without asking for permission.
Unless you use Android, in which case I have no idea.

Edir: I left the app on all night. And rebooted my phone. Still no horn option 🤷🏻♂️
