Default How to change from celius to F in AC controls?

My sister just bought a '23 RX that came from Canada. She figured out how to switch the odometer & speedometer from kilometers to miles, but she can't figure out how to switch the AC controls to Fahrenheit. Any help would be appreciated.

You can't. After all, USA is actually a metric country. (Just kidding, it is the manual but I am too lazy to look for it).

I’m honestly not too sure if you can. I looked in the manual and didn’t see it in there, and couldn’t find it in settings-general-language & units.

I’d try asking the technology center at your lexus dealer. I expect there should be a setting they can change in Techstream.

I would also see if it’s possible for them to flash the US software version onto your RX. They should be able to reflash the whole software and start from scratch—like how they do if someone has problems with the system. That may fix it. There’s also certain hey Lexus voice commands that don’t work in Canada but work in the US, and vice versa. Not sure exactly which they are though.

Thanks.
There isn't a Lexus dealer in the town where my sister lives. The closest one is over 100 miles away and they only accept vehicles after an appointment is made.

We scoured the manual and can't find anything about this.

2022 Toyotas cannot be changed from F to C and vice versa apparently.

yikes. Maybe call the dealer’s technology specialist and see if it’s even something they can do or if they can reflash US software. If they can you can decide if it’s worth the trip.

If it’s that important, I think a new software might be the only way to change the units.

Wait until she finds out US Lexus dealers won’t do warranty work on her car.

Unless I’m mistaken, the Lexus warranty covers vehicles registered and operated in the US and Canada. The warranty guide says to obtain warranty service in the US or Canada to take your vehicle to an authorized Lexus dealership.

"As noted in the Lexus Warranty and Services Guide, warranty coverage is only applicable to any vehicle registered and normally operated within the United States and Canada." So, yes. Same for Toyota. And Nissan, etc.

@OP - Curious as to why/how you got a vehicle in Canada for export to USA

Not the same for all. VW of America does not do VW of Canada warranty work.

From the book.
"WARRANTY REPAIRS WHILE TRAVELLING IN CANADA
Warranty repairs while travelling in Canada should be performed by an authorized Volkswagen dealer.
If your Volkswagen model is within the United States New Vehicle Limited Warranty, Canadian dealers
can submit a claim. Proof of United States residence is required. If the Canadian dealer cannot submit
your claim, you may be asked to pay for the repair. On your return to the United States, please present
the invoice to your United States Volkswagen dealer, who will submit a claim on your behalf and
obtain reimbursement for you.

ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE WHILE TRAVELLING IN CANADA
Excluded: Services outside the 50 United States and Puerto Rico."

Do you have personal experience with the Lexus warranty not applying in either the US or Canada?

How did she manage to get it registered in the US? The dealer would do that? I thought that was illegal.
