My Lexus Service Manager confirmed bulk oil in 55 gallon drums no name. This is why I bring Mobil 1 to them and they just charge labor plus I save a little money.

Guys and gals, I fully understand why folks still change their own oil (I still do @ 71 years young), but we’re quibbling over cents/fl. oz. on oil for a $65K - 70K car. Let’s discuss something more meaningful….

My issue is not the price but whether the dealer only carries 55gallon drums of cheap no name brand oil in the wrong viscosity as some in this forum have mentioned. The 350h requires 0w16 so I don't want them putting in 0w20 even though the manual says its ok to use in a pinch.

Personally, I'm planning to have the correct Mobil 1 0W16 in the vehicle when I get the oil changed. If they have it, I don't mind paying them for it, and if not, they can use my oil.

I'd expect that's fine. I've followed Lexus' recommended maintenance schedule for 5 RX 3x0 vehicles so far with good results.

This is a popular question on these forums, but ultimately it is up to you.
I personally will be changing my 2024 RX350h at 5K intervals, and in fact have already done my first change at the dealer at 1500 miles just in case. It you are only keeping the RX 3-5 years, then in-my-opinion it does not matter, almost all cars will go 5 years no issues. I have a 2007 Toyota Tundra with 230,000 miles, oil changes at 5K intervals and it still does NOT burn any oil and runs great. So, I guess the real question is how long are you going to keep it?

yes, unless you drive in crazy dusty conditions. With synthetic oil we can think differently than we used to. My 2013 RX gets the oil changed every 10k and it's doing great .
I'm getting my oil changed on my 2023 RX on Wednesday, just checked the dipstick, and the oil is very clear and happy looking with 9k miles on it...

On a new car, change at 600-1,000 miles then every 5,000-7,500 miles thereafter.

From the Warranty and Services Guide:
"Special Operating
Conditions
In addition to standard maintenance
items, vehicles that are driven
under special operating conditions
require further maintenance
service. These special operating
conditions, which put added
demands on a vehicle, include:
• Driving on dirt roads or on
dusty roads
• Repeated trips of less than
five miles in temperatures
below 32° F or 0° C
• Extensive idling and/or
low-speed driving for long
distances, such as police, taxi
or door-to-door delivery use.
If you drive primarily under any of the conditions noted, you should replace the engine oil and oil filter every six months or 5,000 miles — even when the oil maintenance reminder does not appear. Some of these special operating conditions require other maintenance items; these items are indicated in each maintenance chart.
If you drive only occasionally under any of the special operating conditions noted, it is not necessary to change the oil every six months or 5,000 miles or to perform the additional services listed in the charts. This added maintenance is required only if you drive primarily under any of the special operating conditions."
