Standard vs ML sound system

Perhaps for some. I can A/B the exact same song. Dramatic difference between Sirius and Tidal Streaming @ 340kb. Not even close.

I think that the ML is decent and it does shine when it is turned up past 25. It is crisper and cleaner than most factory systems. I think that the way ML is marketed that the expectation is that it was going to resemble a somewhat high end system with serious speakers, amps, crossovers, subs etc....

But other than the sound system, I have ZERO regrets in my purchase.

I like the ML Sound System but then again, my experience with vehicle audio systems is fairly limited so going from a no-name "upgraded" 10/11 Speaker system (IIRC) to a 21 speaker name brand is a massive jump and I'm quite pleased with it.

And that is the bottom line. As long as you (the owner) are pleased with it, that's really all that matters.

I think the base system sounds great - whether Sirius XM, Apple Music, or FM Radio (ESPN). My other vehicle is a 2023 Ford F150 Tremor with the B&O upgraded system - my Lexus sounds just as good as the upgraded F150 system. I also typically use wireless Apple CarPlay. Works great.
I typically listen to Rock, Jazz, and some Pop.

yes, correct how is the bass in the base system thanks for responding. That’s good to know. Hopefully it has a little deep end when playing songs that require it. I test drove one and completely forgot to test the audio. I probably have to go back. Trying to possibly work on a deal for the premium awd.
