MPG for RX350?

There is no set speed, per se, just avoiding higher revs and holding the same RPM for extended periods (ie Cruise Control on flat terrain). There are varying opinions here (and everywhere) about oil change intervals on the turbo engines; however, I have always changed my full synthetic oil and filter on a 5k mile basis for my turbo cars - never had any issues, and if nothing else it gives me peace of mind and is relatively cheap insurance compared to the many gallons of premium gas (RX350) that this car will use over its lifetime. Again, opinions will vary on this,

WHAT DOES LEXUS RECOMMEND FOR THE ENGINE BREAK-IN PERIOD?
The engine of your new Lexus vehicle is made with industry-leading precision and quality. As a result, the break-in procedures listed in the Owner’s Manual for a brand-new Lexus are optional. While following these procedures may help to optimize engine performance and engine longevity over the life of the engine, these potential benefits are marginal compared to the benefits that result from ensuring that recommended maintenance is performed as scheduled.
Here are some tips from Lexus on how to extend the life of the vehicle, observing the following precautions:
For the first 200 miles: Avoid sudden stops
For the first 500 miles: Do not tow a trailer
For the first 1,000 miles: Do not drive at extremely high speeds. Avoid sudden acceleration. Do not drive continuously in low gears. Do not drive at a constant speed for extended periods.

I have 2,000 miles on my RX350 AWD and getting 22.5 mpg combined. I was only getting 22.2 mpg and then I started driving in sport mode full time. I think the minor increase is due to the fact you don't have to punch it to override the turbo lag.

LA to San Diego and back. Traffic was horrible as expected. 2 hour drive took 4.5 hours. It was a mixed driving and kept in eco drive mode with speed maintained 65-75. Got average 27.5 mpg. This car likes to be on highway more than city..
tried traffic jam assist. At first it was scary but got used to it..only thing bothering was the camera that keeps watching your eyes.. even though you have blind spot monitor and all alerts the moment I look over my shoulder to change lanes it keeps beeping “driver attention required”. Is there a way to reduce the sensitivity of the front eyes detection sensor.

I will say mpg is the same as my 2019, if not worst and now it costing me in premium fuel and dealing with turbo. On over an hour HWY drive at good 65-70MPH I can get trip avg of about 23mpg, but forget the city/local driving I am under 16mpg. Lifetime at 4200 miles I am 18.7MPG.
I will fully admit I drive very aggressive and do get on it very hard, but at the same time I did it with my 2019 and was almost exactly getting same miles on regular fuel.

So I'm over 7000miles now.
Yesterday I drove from Dallas to Phoenix on I30 to I20 to I10 driving about 8 mph over speed limits adaptive cruise as much as possible. A couple hours of rain. A couple of big, slow,,stopped construction areas and one stopped accident incident, about average for a big 1100 mile drive. West texas is 80 MPH for about 2.5 hours..
Three tankfuls of premium with measure gallons not cars average:
26.2 MPG
29.7 MPG
28.3 MPG
So that's not too bad I'd say.

OCRaider, how fast are you going on the highway? I have a 350h so its not exactly the same. I average 37-38 combined. I just got back from a trip and when I had the cruise set to 80MPH my mileage dropped to 28+. If I drive 65 it goes back up to mid 30's. My point is regardless of the engine the RX drops quite a bit at high speeds. EPA says 36 MPG 37 34 combined city/highway city highway. Also try using the eco mode, that will also help.

I bought a new RX in July last year. MPG was pretty good averaging at a little over 28mpg. Same driving habits and trips, now at 25.8mpg. I have the non-hybrid Luxury trim. Wondering what everyone else is getting on the same car?

Are we talking US gallons or Imp gallons....I suspect US Gallons.....
You will probably get about 16-18 MPG in strictly city stop and go traffic, lights, etc. That's what my 2022 NX got after 3000 miles.....was not impressed, but I didn't care about a couple of MPG...I don't drive that much.
However on the Highway at normal highway speeds, driving like a sane somewhat normal person, windows up and using the AC, you might get as many as 28-30 or more MPG. Did a road trip 300 miles constant driving and got 32 MPG cruising 60-65 on a nice windless warm day.
