Default Should you feel air coming from the ventilated seats?

Should you feel air coming from the ventilated seats? When I turn my ventilated seat on full, I do not feel any air coming through. I was thinking that at full output I would feel something.

Yes, you should feel the air. I do even with jeans on.

I thought it was a vacuum that drew air away from your body, and not a blower?

Where did you get that crazy idea? That would be icky after not to long, let alone a few owners.

I don't feel any air either but do notice that the seat gets cooler.

See the video from a BMW - if you lay a bag or a piece of toilet tissue over the ventilated seat, the bag/paper will be drawn towards the seat, which indicates the airflow direction. It draws the air away from you, it doesn't blow it on you. What method does Toyota use? Someone can do the toilet paper test. I also wonder, my car had an interior protectant sprayed on the seat, if they are sure it doesn't clog the pores. The way the ventilated seat method below cools you, is by enhancing the evaporation process off your skin, as evaporation is a cooling process.

Same here. Not sure which way the air is moving but without a doubt within a minute or so, it is feels cooler.

Interesting that one car maker would have the air going one way while the other has it going the other way. I have always thought my Lexus was pushing air through the seats.

Either way it does work but not nears as well as my Ford Platinum 150 with ice cold air pushed through the seats,

I believe it is a vacuum and it does not blow air out of the holes.

It hasn't been hot enough where I live to really get the AC cranking, so hard for me to observe this.

So I just did an air flow test by putting a piece of paper towel to the back part of my seat and it stuck. So the air does appear to be flowing into the seat. The seat did cool.

The air pulled away from your body increases the evaporative rate of perspiration from your skin, cooling you off.

I join you in learning something new, as I thought it pushed air through the seats and now I see it sucks!

It works so. . . . . .

Yup I would have never guessed as well. We have recently had some warm/hot weather and works very well. Cheers
