Hi all, I’m still have trouble with hesitation I use top tier gas from Costco. I tried another top tier brand no help. I am now using Phillips no ethanol and still having trouble it still hesitates and now it surges as well when starting out. I am thinking about disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU. has anyone done this are there any problems with doing this. I know German cars don’t like it at all.

I experience this when the AC is on high as it seem it take power away from launching, so I put the the boost gauge on and sure enough it is already showing your using some of boost not even moving.
To test it put it in Drive keep brake down put AC on high setting and you will see the boost gauge is already using boost without you even moving. Which in turn takes away some of that power from dead stop.
Very annoying, but it really only occurs if you have it at full blast and are at dead stop

March, was built last week and left that week to dealer.. Again it isn't horrible but it is bit of hiccup. The other thing I noticed is light acceleration at time regardless of AC on it you sometimes feels like weird rumble at low speed like you riding over groves in drive train in seat.

I recall reading about this issue before here and someone cross referenced it to a Highlander forum and the conclusion was that there was an ECU reflash to remedy it, so maybe you should contact the dealer and just get it fixed. I have none of this with my May build 350, at least not in the first 2200 miles.

I also have the same issue on my RX350 F Sport in normal mode. I thought it was whether I used 93 or lower octane gas, but you all have me thinking about other reasons. I usually drive in normal mode - I tried Econ and couldn't tolerate it - I don't think I drive that aggressively in terms of acceleration. I'm still trying to get used to the turbo engine vs the 6 cyl in my 2013 RX; it's definitely a different experience.

I have the same problem. I went to the dealer and they said there was nothing wrong with the car. Have you solved this problem now?

This was a problem with the previous gen as well. I actually traded my RX for an RXh as the CVT didn't have any hesitation. Back then it was a transmission issue. Not sure what it could be now...

We ended up taking ours in to the dealer and of course they could not duplicate the issue. I started thinking about it and wondered if all of the proactive driver assist functions were the issue, basically playing nanny and not allowing us to pull out into what it felt was cross traffic. I disabled a bunch of them (need to verify which ones specifically) and haven't had the issue since.

I also disabled the proactive assist and have had no problems. I also thought It might be related to the the temp outside. I had most problems on hot summer days, anyway since i'v turned off proactive assist and its got cooler outside the car has been driving great.. Love it.
