Arrow Brand new Lexus RX350 has issues

I recently purchased purchased a Lexus RX350 2023 and at 1000 miles have problems start. Taken in for service at that time and was supposedly repaired the engine warning lights were on. They drained the oil replaced the oil filter and returned it to me, however at 2000 miles the same lights came on again, I am now having to have it repaired again and was told that Lexus is aware of these problems and a handful of customers have this happen. They are trying a new repair and it has been in the shop almost a month. Here is the list of the parts that need to be replaced and I am wondering if anyone out there has experience the same thing and what was done.
front oil pump / crank seal
fipg form in place gasket maker
exhaust cam gear
exh cam filter / bolt
exh cam solenoid w o-ring
mounting bolt
valve cover gasket
high pressure fuel pump gasket on valve cover

thank you.

Welcome to the forum, looks like this is your first post. I would strongly suggest you post this in the RX forum (which should have several sub groups based on the generation/years of the RX). You would go to Forums-->Lexus Model Forums --> RX --> then select latest generation since you have a brand new car. Within that aspect of the forum you'll be surrounded by people who own the same generation RX.

This is the general car chat forum -there are a ton of very knowledgeable people here, I just think it would also help you to post it within the RX page. I hope this helps and hope you get an answer to your frustrating situation.

So they are replacing the exhaust cam phaser, everything else is things you replace getting to that part.

Might be a good time to review the Lemon Law disclosure they gave you, especially if they can't fix the problems. Document what's going on and brush up on your rights. Hopefully they fix it before it comes to that.

Unhappy Do I have a lemon?

For the cost of this vehicle, even if the second attempt to repair it works, how do I know it won’t have continual problems? Can the dealership agree to replace it or does it have to be Lexus? Thank you.

It's between you and Lexus but the dealer can be an intermediary. Any costs for warranties are done by manufacturers. No reason they shouldn't be able to successfully repair it though.

We are having same issues with our 2023 rx 350 as well. It started at 2400 miles and we got the oil change and should be all set, then same issue at 3400 miles .They have now had our car for over two weeks attempting a second repair. We were told they are changinging cam actuators. We have opened a claim directly with lexus to buy the vehicle back, unfortunately we have lost all confidence in the vehicle and wish we had kept our gx460 with 165 k on it .

From our experience you must deal directly with Lexus. The number we were given to call is 1-800-255-3987. You will be assigned a case manager after speaking to a Lexus advocate. The process is a bit tedious to start but they have now opened an official claim, and we are now waiting for their final decision which they say can take up to thirty days. I will keep the forum updated on my results.

Seems like a trend developing in this same area on the 350? Not a good sign. What was your build date?
