Can I add a 4-way or 7-way tow harness to my vehicle

Before I bought my 2024 Lexus 350 on 6/11/2024, I asked the Dealer what was included in the Tow Packages. They had sold a car the previous week with the tow hitch package. According to the Dealer's service manager and his contact at Lexus, the $160.00 tow package includes just the converter wiring and the $900+ tow hitch package includes just the converter wiring, trailer light extension wiring, and the hitch. There is no additional equipment, such as a higher output alternator, coolers, etc. This makes sense to me according to the prices for these packages. Also, Lexus does not specifically advertise or specify any such additional equipment, and no one has produced any evidence of such additional equipment on any actual car.

Lexus's official sales literature, online anyway - at least at one point - specified additional items including alternator, etc., etc. It has been beat to death in this forum with no clear conclusion as to if they were actually included (long history on that if you search the forum). Some have looked at parts lists and found nothing additional. But Lexus parts catalog is not complete - at least for 2024 RX's. As for cost, if Lexus indeed added other parts for towing - they may have done it at cost or whatever to avoid vehicle or warranty issues from folks that pull a load. I could be talked into nothing extra, or something extra.

Actually, the $870 tow package includes light harness, Lexus installed hitch, and receiver. And it may possibly include other items, but that is unclear.

Thanks to all the help and advice I got here, I was able to install the Lexus Tow Converter PT725-48232 and the Curt 56083 Custom Wiring Connector. Hardest part was removing the interior side panel without breaking anything. I am now waiting on delivery of the Torklift EcoHitch. In the meantime, I am looking at how to route the Curt wire and mount the Curt wire connector. I want to mount a bracket for the connector behind the bumper out of sight, but there is little room back there and not much in the way of a mounting surface. I am also thinking of tapping screw holes in the hitch and mounting the bracket to it, but that might put the connector too close to the hot muffler. Has anyone found a good solution to this that they would like to post a picture of and brag about?
