Default RX 350H Drives itself? Mine does ...sort of

I was driving down a residential street and it seemed like the car was pulling to the left in a curve. So I took my hands off the wheel, and the car went around the curve, straightened out and went around another curve all by itself !! I was going 35 mph with cruise control on.. After about 90 seconds I heard a beep and the speedometer screen said something about driver's hands not detected on steering wheel.
Anybody have anything like this happen?

We all have, working as intended. Might want to take a gander at the owner’s manual or the Deep Dive tutorials on the RX on YouTube.

Not me - I have some features disabled. By the way, anyone try self-parking without incident? I watched a video tutorial and found it pretty interesting I also saw something about a VW that had the feature and bumped right into the vehicle behind

Yep, same here on my RX350 ICE. Love the technology!

I use it on long drives. I'm surprised it worked at such a low speed, tho'.

It is very cool, a peak at total self-driving to come I suppose. I am new to Lexus and this set of driving aides. I have all the driving aides set to "on" that can be turned on or off. Looking for all the "nanny driving" help I can get.

Yes, this is not a fully autonamous driving car so you need to keep the hands on the wheel.

As long as the cruise is on and the camera can see lines, it will work.

Yes, lane keeping assistant works on this car. On my last BMWs, it didn't work at all and they never fixed it.

Yes, working as designed. As long as it senses your hands on steering wheel every few seconds it will use all the sensors to drive the car centered in the lane and within a safe distance to the car in front.

I use it on the highway daily. Love it. Very relaxing to take some of the burden off driver while the driver is still in control.

I get the warning after 8-10 seconds of hands off.

Default How to use Lane Change Assist (LCA)?

Hi,

Really curious how to use land change assist (LCA) function. I have 2024 RX Premium + and I can confirm that I do have this function in driver support menu and it's turned on. But when I try to use this and hold the signal light either up and down rather than just tap it once, the car doesn't move to next lane in any kind of speed. Adaptive cruise control and lane tracking are all on. Can anyone advise how do you use it if you have the same Premium Plus trim?

here is the video that I follow but just doesn't work

Thank you.

With the adaptive cruise engaged and on a road with lane markings, I hold the signal lever for about half a second. My display then says "Check surroundings". I take my hands off the wheel slightly and the vehicle changes lanes. I am always ready to take control since I have had it dissengage a couple of times while it was changing lanes.
