Question Temporarily Disable Parking Assist Sensors

I used to have a 2021 RX 350L and you could temporarily mute the sensors when parking or going into a car wash by pressing the "dot" button on the steering wheel. The 2023 does not have this button and the beeping when pulling in/out of my garage or going through the car wash are super annoying and distracting. I cannot figure out temporarily mute them and even the sales guy and the service guy at my dealership didn't know. I've Googled and looked through my manual and cannot find this information anywhere. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Does the mute button on the screen when it pops up meet your needs?

I haven't seen a MUTE option pop up. I went out and checked and there it was! I'm very far-sighted and didn't see it until I really looked for it. Wished they left the button on the steering wheel but glad to have a solution! Thank you!

Should be on the bottom right corner.

Yeah, Lexus give us a massive screen and keeps almost everything on it teeny. Their media display disappoints more and more as you spend time with it and discover its many shortcomings. Overall it’s really quite a step backwards from the old system.

That's very true. I LOVE the large screen which is why I picked it over the Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes GLE, the Jaguar F Pace and the Audi Q7 but it's so hard to find things. I feel like I could drive this for years and still not know how to do everything (probably true of most cars). I think the engineers tried to make it more streamlined but they just made it somewhat unusable. I sat in it tonight for about 20 minutes going through all the settings. Some of them I couldn't figure out what they were. This is my fourth Lexus. Love the new body style (not the nose though) and the screen but I prefer my 2021 overall. I really appreciate your help. I've been trying to figure this out for months.

Have you checked out the 4 hour RX deep dive tutorial from Northside Lexus on YouTube? It can really help. Part 1:

My first reaction to watching a 4-hour video was H*LL no! Haha, but I started watching a little and it's actually really useful! I had no idea my vehicle had some of these features. Headlight washers, anyone?? Thanks again!

I was initially too overwhelmed, but seeing the need I waited for two rainy days and watched and took copious notes. Highly useful...some of that stuff is NOT intuitive.
