I’m very pleased with my 2024 RX350h Premium+. I highly recommend it.

Default Love, Love, Love My RX 350!!

Just bought a 2024 RX 350 base AWD with some options. I went to the dealer to buy the NX 350 but it was too small with the ride of a smaller car. The new RX is smooth and refined elegance. I thought I needed or wanted a v6, but I am super happy with the turbo 4. Tech not too much for me to learn. I prefer owning a car that I don't have to take to the shop or pay thousands for a scheduled maintenance. Coming out of a 2013 RX 350 to this new model is not comparable, I like this RX better. It has a great ride, handles amazing and is soooo quiet.

The big difference between v6 and turbo i4 is you get linear power delivery and generally a better exhaust note with the v6. Manufacturers make sure that power is never an issue with a turbo i4. But it is unlikely to have the longevity of the v6.

Longevity NBD for me, I traded my 2013 with 132,000 and I was glad to get in something new. I have always liked new.

I'm not keeping track but it seems like most people who own a 5th gen RX are happy with their purchase. Yes there are some people who have had problems or are unhappy with the 4 cylinder. I had an LS460. Yes it was smoother, quieter, and more powerful but I needed something with more room for the grand kids. I test drove my 350h and as omar33 said, no car is perfect. This car checked most of my boxes. I'm happy so far so I will vote yes "I recommend it".

I have moved up to number one on the waiting list at my local dealer for a RX 350h. Currently have a 2017 RX 450h which I love. I go to a couple things as far as the new generation RX. By far the number one selling luxury SUV. Consumer Reports rates it number one in the mid-size luxury SUV category. I've had two for loaners for 4 days. Averaged 37 miles per gallon. Found the car super quiet, plenty of power and love the interior. Impressed with the infortainment system and as you stated no car is perfect. Not crazy about the front grill but I can live with it. Waiting on a iridium or white with macadamia interior with the bamboo accent.

Freds430, It's funny you mentioned the grill. My brother has a 2019 RX450 which I call his "Predator" after the movie. That grill kept me on the sidelines while I enjoyed my 2008 LS460. He loves his grill, I like the new one. To each his own.

That might prove to be true, but I doubt it. I'm old enough to remember when your car absolutely had to have a V-8 or it was second rate....then six cylinders became commonplace, I had a series of Volvo 5 cylinder turbos that were terrific....given Toyota's rep and present day tooling capabilities, I don't see why four cylinder engines can't last a long, long time.

I had 4 cylinder Venza for over 10 years and drove it for 330,000km (206K miles) and towed a trailer with it.

The engine was as powerful as first day and did not lose a bit of oil until I sold it.

Not sure if the 4 cylinder being inferior theory is valid.

Does the 6 Cylinder in RX4 sound better, off course it does. Honda knows how to make 4 Cylinder engines sound sweat; Toyota not so much. Not to say they are bad engines though.

Had a 2015 RX and when the new generation RX came out with the predator grill in 2016 said would never own one. Took about a year to grow on me now think the 2015 and prior are so boring. Hoping this one does the same.

The "unknown" is the turbo in the non hybrid RX. Turbo's require more due diligence on maintenance. The turbo is also the reason minimum octane is 91. There's gonna be alot of people running 87 octane on the non hybrid RX which will cause issues down the line. Time will tell, but I'd opt for the hybrid until there's enough data showing these engines will be as reliable as the past.

1st model year build quality problems never used to be a thing with Lexus.

thinking back to 1st, 2nd gen RX, LS, GX. They were all great didn’t matter which model year you went with.

The turbo will be fine if you follow the maintenance schedule. Lexus chose to tune it to require 91, Toyota has models with the same engine that don’t require 91. I've put 200K on VW turbos with no issues, I’m not worried about the 2.4 turbo.

I had a 2003 Toyota Matrix. Lots of first year issues. Mostly resolved by 2005 model. A friend of mine had a 2009 Venza with many issues that I did not have on my 2010. then I have a 2016 RX which had many concerns/issues which were addressed year by year after 2016.

My experience has been that Even Toyota / Lexus has had first year issues. Just that they are not as severe as some other brands.

You can't fix a problem that you don't know exists and many issues and concerns are not discovered during the design and testing prior to release of any product. Pre-mass production you have limited number of test units, after that you'll have thousands and thousands of "Testers" Cars are not unique.
