Default Phone Holder?

I'm looking for phone holders for our 450h+ for the driver and passenger. We used CD slot holders in our 2013, and I have a ProClip Holder in my other car, but there is no slot in the 2024, and ProClip hasn't made anything available for the 2023-24 models yet.

Anyone found good solutions?

May I ask why you need a phone holder to have the screen visible?

There is are few phone storage spots in the tray in front of the shifter. All phone features that are not too distracting are visible through the wireless carplay or Android Auto on the cars big screen.

If you don't use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, the cars voice recognition for text messaging, music and mapping is actually useful this time.

in my 2016 RX We have a phone holder to use Google maps and music. In this car I find they did a good job so that I can just leave the phone in that compartment and have access to all map, music and text messages without looking at my phone.

I use several apps that are not Android Auto compatible, such as an Altimeter, Dr Prius, and Torque OBD II dashboard. I wish they were compatible, but I don't see that happening any time soon.

Just installed an A-Tach 50484 mount and 10101 phone holder. Looks pretty good to me, and seems fairly solid. Time will tell.

In the event of a collision, you will have to look to find your phone.

One of my kids was in two total loss crashes - rear-ended and t-boned and the cheap Aliezpress cell phone holder (CD slot) held the phone in place. Personally, I don't see the need to even see my cell phone when Android Auto and Carplay are available. Although I have to find an app that will read out my emails like AA and CP do for messages.

If I have a collision, finding my phone will be the least of my worries.

I use Android auto with the apps that work with it, but Dr Prius and Torque don't work with it, to name a couple.

This is timely...

I was just impressed by this phone holder. Supposedly it can be used with our older cars with Scosche window/dash mounts, AND with the wireless chargers as in our 2023 500h.

I bought the A-tach cell holder. I find that the vent molding which holds the top of the bracket allows the holder to bounce and to the point it will break the molding. I removed it immediately. Either I installed it wrong, or this spot is not an option for a cell phone holder.

I've had mine installed for 4,200 miles, and have been on some very bumpy roads in that time. The mount is still solid and working great.

A video shows this better. But with very little pressure you can see how far the mount pulls out the vent molding. The weight of an iphone pulls this out by itself.
