After I got my car for two weeks I noticed there is a weird sound coming from the ventilated seat. Sound like something is rubbing against the fan. I took it to the dealership, they replaced the blower. Couple days later the sound came back. Took it to dealership again, they had someone from lexus came out and they told me that “the sound is normal, only the 500h f sport have it and that’s how it’s designed”! I’m shocked that lexus would design a seat like that and don’t know how to fix it. I called a friend with the same car. She told me her didn’t have the sound. Just wondering if anyone have the same problem? And if it was fix or not?

Ours is quiet.

Is the noise from the ventilation inside the seats, or the hybrid battery vent system? (Not sure if that includes a fan or not)

It’s coming from the fan inside the seat.

Warranty it. It should be silent.

I had it happen to an LX that was out of warranty. I pulled the seat out to find there was some bits of trash that had been pushed up under the seat and somehow sucked into the blower cage.

Sound should speed up & slow down with fan speed. Offered in case the sound heard would fit this sort of scenario.

i warranty it. They replaced the fan and still have the sound. Now the dealership don’t know how to fix it and said that how it’s built.

Ask the dealer to show you how another car from their lot makes the same noise. <<Evil Grin>>
Offer to call Lexus Corporate for them...

Do the seat ventilators have three speeds as in the past generation RX? Ours is a 2017 and the fan on high sounds like a jet engine taking off.

I asked them. They told me that they didn’t have any in the lot. So I did call corporate and now waiting to meet the FTS for DIAGNOSTICS.

yes it’s three speeds and my fan on high is loud with a rubbing sound.
