500h Navi Cam REverse problem--help
hi
I took home. a RX500H about 2months ago. For the few hours I had it, seemed really nice. Next day had to go back to the dealer, been there since, was hoping if someone had this issue they may share the resolution as my dealer is stumped.
When I either shifted into reverse, or hit any of the pana camera options (or auto park), the screen would either go totally black, or black w/the parking lines. The problem is 100% fail (ie not intermittent). Other functions of the car and navi unit seemed. ok, so far they replaced the module w/a new one, same problem. I am new to Lexus, so while I could make some guess's. I don't want to speculate...
If anyone happened to have exactly this problem, could you share. your experience, specific to this issue, (or more importantly the technical resolution). but. ponder. is the model known to be generally buggy??
RX500H prem Fsport perf fully loaded.
Thanks and welcome thoughts...

I've not heard others ever complain about this.
A 'hard failure' should be easier to troubleshoot, but the dealer has only shot-gunned it, so far.
Keep records of their attempts to resolve, hopefully you won't need to invoke a Lemon Law scenario. BTW, advise the service writer that you are documenting the situation, too, sometimes that is an incentive to put a better tech onto the case.
