how does one determine what end of the hood is supposed to be a particular width. ?

Time to trade in the Lexus and go w Tesla or MB or BMW or Genesis ........Which model will you be purchasing ? A friend of mine just bought a beautiful Genesis GV70 which many reviewers have gushed over in the Automotive reviews., I seriously considered buying one . I spent a few hours going over Genesis forums and the issues people were encountering were significantly more noteworthy than a few noises or fractions of a millimeter gap
My dollars went in the direction of Lexus
I didn’t say it would deter my buying, I already bought the car. It was determined by comparing to cars at the dealer which were 2024 and newer and had better fitment and did not have the dash separation issue for example. My dollars has gone to Lexus, 3 times already. These are quantitive observations, not a protest of the brand. Comparably, my ES was better built. Keep in mind, my RX was a first year new gen build so that could be the main cause.

torx socket and ratchet and a dead blow soft hammer to hit the striker.

Coming up on a year on my new car.... No issues, no interior misalignments, all panels are perfect. Just plug it in nightly to charge... and drive

on my list of favorite Lexus SUVs is just one and one only: The 23+ UX. So far not liking the NX and RX from all the stuff im seeing here plus the overall design language, not like the older models. The 23+ UX takes the cake still. i am glad they are keeping the grill for the 2025 ux.
I actually preferred the older mix of hvac controls and screen such as on the UX, ES. The new infotainment can be a bit cumbersome and has a few intermittent bugs. Pretty sure the 2025 UX will fall in line and adopt the new full screen center.
