I had the same problem. After some research I used this link : How to Format 128GB SD Card to FAT32 in Windows 10/11 - MiniTool.
It worked without issues.

Did your camera have to have an extra harness for the install. I talked to my service lady and she said the harness was another $400 (which I kind of thought was WAY OUT of line. I figure about 30-50. The camera itself was 485, but I have seen it as cheap as 340. If it takes a 128gb formatted to Fat 32, I may consider it. The 16 GB card is really too small. I have a portable dash cam that takes a 128GB card that can be formatted right in the camera itself. Thanks..........

The part number for the camera I am seeing is PT94976220-AA and the Y harness was part #949-08210. I think this camera fits quite a few Lexus models as well as Toyota, too. If that is the case, I may order it online cheaper and the dealer said they would install the camera as long as it was Lexus branded. It would save me about 300 dollars. Thanks for your help. Really appreciate it!!

I just ordered this camera PT94976221 (this is the new number according to the parts manager in Plano TX. It supersedes the 220 and 220AA. The harness number is the same. I got the camera for 298 and the harness for 38. Originally, when I talked to the service advisor, she told me she thought the harness was $400....I thought that a little high. But I believe I will let them install it for around 250-300. I screw up too many things. Was your camera installed on the passenger side or driver's side. Thanks a bunch for the info.
At Present I just have a little plug in Aukey camera for the front. Works decent, but I may place it in the back--I have a power plug in there or just give it to the grandson.

OP, what I'd do: take a second look at how the card is formatted. Even though you mentioned using DOS format (probably FAT32), make sure that's what the dashcam actually needs. It might want a different file system, like exFAT, especially if you're using a bigger memory card.
