Default OEM Lexus Dashcam error lights w/1tb sxdc card

Happy Christmas!

Back ins September, I Purchased my 2024 Lexus RX 350H Luxury with an OEM Dashcam. The 16gb memory card didn't seem to cut it in term of recording space. I purchased a 1tb micro sxdc and formatted as DOS (same format a the OEM card. Upon installing it and powering it on, it issues loud beeps and the power/mic/wifi lights light up in succession until it's powered off. Any ideas? I searched and wasn't able to locate any troubleshooting info.

Thanks in Advance!

I've had several dash cams, not OEM. But they all required me to format/setup the card with the camera menu. Also 1 tb may be too large. Many cameras have a size limit. I do suggest that whatever card you get is meant for "extreme" usage so it will last.

From what I’ve read and the video saw, the OEM Lexus dash cam only takes up to 32gm memory card. I upgraded mine to a Samsung Pro Endurance 32gb and it works fine with no errors.

I am pretty sure the manual give you a 32 or 64 go limit. 1 tb will not work. My Lexus camera has been installed for months with no problem.

According to the dashcam owner's manual, you can use up to a 128GB card.

Industrial Grade 16GB Class10 MicroSD (Max 128GB, FAT32 Format)

I changed mine to the128Gb and it works fine. I had to reformat the card to FAT32.

Is your camera on the left or right of the rear view mirror?

‘Did the dealer instal your camera? My dealer swore that it could only be installed on the right side. I would assume it is doe to the length of the power cord.

Yes, the camera was installed by the dealer. We are in South Florida. It looks good on the left. See picture below.

I’m on the fence about it. It looks like the wiring isn’t fully covered at the top? And it seems to impact vision quite a bit, based on the picture.

i really wish auto manufacturers would better integrate dashcams into the vehicles.

Which micro sd card did you end up buying? Would you mind linking to it? Thanks!

Thanks. Sorry for the noob question, but how did you format the sd card? I'm getting stuck there.
