Default Experience with various leather colors?

We are strongly considering a 2024 RX350h Luxury. This has several leather option colors: Black, Peppercorn, Palomino, Macadamia and Birch (Grey)

Aesthetically, we like the Macadamia, Palomino and Birch.

One concern about these colors is how they may wear over time. Would love to hear from folks that have any of these colors in terms of how they have worn over time (which I realized is not a long time since the 5th gen is so new).

Also, just curious to know from folks who got black whether they've had issues with heat or anything else. We are in San Diego so get lots of sun, but plan to get the car tinted.

My black interior in my 350h still looks like new. Impressed.

Way better than my past 2022 MDX which showed wrinkles in the seat bottom after the first week of use! I could hardly stand to open the door as the wrinkles got even worst in the next month. At 6 months the seat bottom looked like it was 3 years old!

I only weight 165 so . . . . .

My Birch leather (light gray) interior still looks new, after about 10 months.

On the waiting list for a 2024 RX 350h and would only get a light color interior. Wife has the palomino in her NX which we like. It has a palomino headliner. The RX on palomino only comes with a black headliner which is to dark and makes everything looked closed in and hot. That leaves the macadamia which I like with some brown accents on the doors.

I have the Macadamia and it still looks great! I keep a can of Sonax Alcantara cleaner handy just in case there is any dirt or stains on the suede part of the seats. Works great!!

Blue from my jeans is starting to transfer to the suede portions of my macadamia leather drivers seat, particularly on the side nearest the door. I’m waiting for my next service to ask the dealer what I can do about it.

Common with all leather, most noticeable on light colors which is why I always get black. Clothing dye transference is unavoidable and in many cases cannot be removed successfully and if it can, repeated leather scrubbing will surely damage the leather surface. Blue jeans and natural grain leather belts are a real problem. There are threads about wipes and various cleaners that work, but I never tried them. I am sure others will chime in on frequency and cleaning processes.

In short, go with black if you want to keep things simple. Light colors, which can look quite nice, if you are inclined to clean on a frequent basis.

I read baby wipes would help. Someone above mentioned a cleaner too.

I have macadamia too, np so far, but we put a nice seat cover on bottom and don't wear jeans.

Having learned from previous experiences, I always go with Black.

Would never ever own a dark color interior. Had parchment in four Lexus interiors and now macadamia and polomino. Clean seats two minutes every two weeks they don't need it. Never had a transfer of dye and both wear jeans everyday.
