That symbol with the bell, that's where my battery charge level indicator is. You must have some option in the phone set regarding that bell that carplay uses instead of the battery indicator in that position.

The bell indicates notifications are set to sound as oppose to the strikethrough icon where notifications are disabled (silenced). There are several others including one that looks like a badge when iPhone is in work focus mode.

The wireless icon shows up when charging wirelessly and not when cable is plugged in. However, if charging wirelessly and phone overheats (i.e., extensive nav use) charging will stop to protect the phone in which case the icon will disappear until the phone cools down.

You may see other icons depending on phone and settings and whether or not they were implemented to display in CarPlay.

So it means that all notifications are set to "sound"? I only have sound for things like text messages and reminders, not notifications from apps. I never see that bell symbol in my carplay.

With the lastest update, the MPG is pretty active, it used to be locked at 26.2 mpg, now it is more like a real time, ranging from 25 - 28.5 mpg.

Looks like the camera settings were switched slightly during the update. I was able to switch it back

They also did something with front Cross Traffic crap, I have it completely shut off and prior it would go off on HUD. Now it seems extra sensitive and graphics seem different on HUD and is now beeping more, it is extremely distracting as it makes you think your missing something, I don't understand if it shut off why does it still appear in HUD. Now it seems even more sensitive.

Why can't take make it if you disable it never appears on HUD. Same for face camera I have it completely disabled and still if my hand blocks it warning comes up.
Reminds me very much of the Max MCAS software!

Is anyone having issues with sending WhatsApp messages on Apple CarPlay?

When I want to send a message to somebody Siri says “…… doesn’t have WhatsApp message”. I tried multiple names on my contact list but none of them work.

i noticed this problem after the software update to 2170.

I do have the battery symbol in the vertical columns. When I use the wireless charger, the lightening symbol shows up.
