Default OTA Updates (merged thread)

Got the message on my wife's 2023 RX350 of an OTA update today to version 2050. It took 10 minutes to install. This is all we know about the update:

Software Update includes the following improvements:®
  • User Profile
  • User Interface
  • Cloud Navigation
  • Intelligent assistant voice recognition
  • Bug fixes
Version: 2050

This video should apply to the RX as well:

So what do you do if you don't have a data plan for the car - you have to pair the car with your WiFi at home and launch the update from the infotainment unit?

You don't need a data plan for the OTA update (we never even did the trial). It may require one of Lexus' other plans but the car comes with 3 years on those so not an issue right now. You could always use WiFi if necessary.

It just did it, my carplay was connected but don't think it used my phone to do download. Only thing I noticed is the new graphic for the AWD wheels..

Leave the car running. Why risk it for the 10 minutes it takes? You could drive while it updates if you want, the radio still works. The updates won’t take effect until you restart the car though.

Default New Software Update

Just had my first Software Update on my 2023 rx 350h, anyone else ?
I didn't have time to find out what improvements.... if any .... came with it. So if you have an understanding of what the update was all about, please let us know.
Thanks

I just completed on my 2023 500h. Accessory only mode and connect to home wifi. Took about 10-12 minutes. Thanks OP!

In case anyone is interested here are the "release notes". Looks identical to the NX Software Update.

Pardon the dusty screen.

Yeah, they're listed in post #1. Still waiting to see if they release a listing of bug fixes.
