Default Is it just me or is the 5th gen RX seriously gorgeous?

The flowing exterior lines, the overall shape (not boxy at all), the full rear light bar, the two tone exterior door handles, the small stuff like the hidden rear windshield wipers...even has that shark fin up top that I'm not sure what the heck it is...everyone who sees mine up close says it's gorgeous.

And inside it's the same...so luxurious, a nice medium between overcluttered and spartan.

I sometimes go into the garage and just marvel at it. It's like some art sculpture. Kudos to the design team

Could not agree more. Had a 2017 RX 450h. Love the car had 92,000 mi on it and it looked brand new. I kept contemplating why do I want to buy a new car. I did however and picked up my 24 iridium RX 350H on Friday. Love it. The color the interior the exterior the drive. I'm averaging 37 miles per gallon in the city.

Same here - 350h - I cannot believe the MPG - it's my wife's daily driver - she does lots of local driving and plenty highway as well. 37 mpg seems to be spot on regardless of city or highway. Fred - our 17 had about 86K miles on the clock and was also in pristine condition - we were ready for something newer.

First time hybrid owner? You made the right choice.

I'm kinda spoiled on that front...my old 3rd gen Prius does 50+ mpg all the time. So the lower mpg of the RX is not on par with that, but it makes up for it with the great ride quality, the luxurious and tech-filled interior, and the plug-in capabilty.

Welcome!

But nowadays, being at least hybrid (HEV) is becoming the norm, not the "dark side". The unusual now are the PHEVs (plug in) and the full electrics (BEV), as well as the really unusual hydrogen powered cars (Toyota MIrai)

I liked the looks of our 2013 RX better, but the 5th gen is fairly nice to look at. Having grown up in the '70s, surrounded by cars from the '50s, 60s, and '70s, I find few modern vehicles to be truly attractive though, in comparison to the best from those years.

It's growing on me. I really don't like the look of the bulbous front end when I view it from the side in our garage, but I like how it looks on the road, both moving towards me and away from me. Go figure.

Well, sometimes an older generation can look better than the newer one. I know I hate the 4th gen Prius vs my 3rd gen, as the entire family line looked awkward.

Plus, beauty is in the eye of the beholder of course.

Here's a physical comparison of the 4th and 5th gen RX (2013 is 3rd I think):

I haven’t quite warmed up to the 5th gen yet.
I won’t be seriously looking until they offer a 450H+ with F sport trim and in Ultra Sonic Blue(NX has this).
Still loving our ‘17 RX350 F sport with 18MPG.

I can't wait for Ultra Sonic Blue in new RX, I was so disappointed as I saw it in the International Market. I don't know if we will ever see it!!
Hopefully close to my lease being up on my 23 they will come out with it here in US for refresh year.

Haven't seen many USB cars lately. Are they still producing that color?

When 5th Gen RX was announced, the marketing materials show a USB 500H F sport performance. I was super excited. Then when the US build site came online, USB was nowhere to be found.
The color is gorgeous. I have a USB GSF and keep looking at that NX450H+ in USB while waiting for the RX to offer this color.
Unlike other blue(Nightfall Mica), USB looks good in any lighting condition.

This color is only available in the F sport on certain vehicles. UX, IS, NX, GS(discontinued). The LC500 just made USB available on ‘24 MY.
LFA was also offered in USB.
