Slamming door to close
Do you find the doors a bit harder to close? My sister is complaining that she need to slam the doors real hard to properly close them.
I checked the doors and they are on the line.

Now she slams them TOO hard lol
I actually kind alike it. Make the car feel solid.

I agree as well. Good workout every time you close a door

Is it not easier on your's with the windows open? Should be. It could also be because they're good doors. My *22 Venza was so creaky that it didn't matter if the windows were open or not. The doors shutting sounded like metal on metal. On the 350, they feel solid and sound solid when shutting.

My issue is those door edge guards, they are OEM and were installed at factory/port, but they are pushing against the rubber molding and sometimes make squeak noise when opening the door.
I would like to really remove, but afraid the paint under it may be scuffed or get scratched removing.

Not sure that's true - you ever open only one window and hear the atomic noise? That's only relieved by opening another window.

most if not nearly all cars have a one way vent flap for closing doors. I remember Hondas the 1990s had this on the rear left under the bumper cover.
i suspect the doors being hard to shut is just how lexus designed it. especially if all the doors are the same.

Doors need to be shut with more force AND 2024 RX is definitely quieter
I don't think it is just due to "air pressure."
A 2024 RX-450H+ PHEV is our 4th Lexus, and our 3rd RX, and its doors definitely need to be shut with a lot more force that other Lexi. Sure, having a window down in the vehicle reduces the force required vs. having all windows open, but the fact remains the 2024 needs to be closed with significantly more "slam".
The 2024 RX is definitely quieter than our 2021 RX for both wind and other noises, and too the electronic door latch is definitely a new and different design.
So, this old guy has two theories...
1. Door seals require a harder slam to squeeze the door seals enough to latch the door because they need to be squeezed more to get a more effective overall door seal, or
2. The electronic aspect of the 2023/2024 door mechanism is somehow effecting the force required to shut the doors.
I lean towards theory #1.

I think the only reason is the door seals.
