Dug thru the forum and looked at the "how to" videos. Can't find if it is possible to sync ALL Apple contacts to my 2024 RX350 Nav system. I know I can use Apple CarPlay - but curious if I can sync ALL my Apple Contacts and use them with the Lexus Nav system.

If you setup your phone as phone only and disable CarPlay then it should automatically sync all your contacts, based on what is setup on your phone.

Thank you @toyotaman7 ! I had kind of figured that out by trial and error. I had hoped to load all my contacts into the Lexus once in one upload, then use the Lexus Nav system to navigate by saying "Hey Lexus, get directions to Jim Jones house." But as best I can tell that is not possible. I kind of like the Lexus Nav screen and system. But Apple CarPlay does what I want and bonus - it provides Nav info in my heads up display. Please let me know if I am missing anything...

Something to keep in mind. The dealer told me that the nav system in the 2023+ is all cloud based. I believe you get 3 years subscription for free. There is no longer an onboard nav. So in 3 years you will need to pay the subscription or switch to Android/Apple CarPlay. Not sure what happens when the subscription expires. Do you still get a map display or?

We’ll find out for sure on NXs this fall but most think the nav will still work but can only use the maps uploaded into the system at manufacturing.

2023+ RX use the new cloud based navigation without any embedded navigation. All previous versions were local vehicle based navigation.
