I installed the OEM running board on our ‘17 RX and love it. Makes getting in and out better for the shorter people.
It also looks great on the RX.

Agree 100%. The running boards made all the difference for my 5’4” wife with her new hip. I usually just step over them and I am 5’8” tall. And yes, I think they look great too.

Can you all tell me something? I really wanted to plug in, and i guess it will come eventually.. ..Is the F Sport version ....hard to explain, I guess a stiffer ride (rougher ride) than the regular suspension? Guess I prefer cushier ride..

Sounds like you are thinking of loud, asking yourself questions and answering them yourself...

Pricewise RX 450h+ should be closer to a model Y. Not to say model Y is slow, but much smaller and less refined, based on having a RX and a model Y within our extended family.
Absolutely not, a model y is about 56k and a RX 450h+ 2023 will be about 70k. Not the same. 500h fsport will be 80k btw.

Do you consider the RX equivalent to Model S then?

in Canada Model Y starts at $84K. RX hybrid starts: $60K; NX 450h+ (Plug-in) starts: $60K. Also, NX to RX differential is about $10K; by that math RX 450h+ should land around $70K CAD, which is still much cheaper than a Model Y.....

RX 500h is meant to compete with BMW M series and Mercedes AMGs, not Tesla.

Base Model Y hasn't been 56k in the US for a while. It's 63k USD to start for white on black. Don't be fooled by their "Price after potential gas savings" listed on the web site.

Given that US NX450h+ pricing is around 58k to start, the RX450h+ should be directly in the ballpark of Model Y pricing.

Fine I was fooled by that. But don't be fooled. All NX 450s f aport are about 62k. All 450h plus rx f sport will be 70 to 72. Just wait.

500h fully loaded will be in the 80s.

Those are prices without markups

US Pricing likely takes into account that the NX450h+ (and likely the RX450h+) still qualifies for the $7,500 Income Tax credit for you guys. Once the credit runs out for Toyota/Lexus, there's a good chance they might adjust their pricing. But it's all speculation at this point.

In any case, the Model Y equivalent for Lexus should be the RZ450e anyway, not the RX.

I would think the 500h will be very close in price to the 450h+, around 70-75k loaded. I also agree that once the tax credit runs out on the 450h+ and vehicle inventory gets back to whatever the new normal will be, that there will be a pricing adjustment for the plug-in.

I think the plug in hybrid will be slightly different spec than the NX450H+ plug in. Otherwise, they would’ve posted it.
In terms of pricing, maybe they’re finalize the paperwork with the government in terms of rebate on the plug in. Who knows.
I just washed and detailed my ‘17 F sport this morning and it’s still one of the most unique and good looking suv on the road. I find.

Maybe Lexus working on giving the 450h+ more power to differentiate it from the NX450h+? I would think they would want their larger SUV plug-in to be just as quick as the NX plug-in, but if it has the exact same setup then it's bound to be slower.

Agreed - our 17 with nearly 70K on the clock still looks new and drives perfectly. But I'm getting tired of filling that tank at $5/gallon.
