Hi all

Sold my 2016 IS350 F sport back in April and just got my new car in Aug after a 8 month long wait. It was worth it though.

1. RX model - RX 350h AWD

2. Navigation
3. Color exterior and interior - Nebula Grey and Black
4. Option Packages - premium

I just finished putting 3m on the whole car.
Xpel stealth for anything that I left grey, then the roof was vinyl wrapped black then a gloss xpel over top of it. Also had the chrome deleted. To finish it all off I had the car ceramic coated with 10 coats. I think it look sick myself

Some other basic mods like illuminated door and trunk sills, running boards, Lexus puddle lamp, block heater, OEM Lexus side visors, 2” tow hitch with wire harness and 2ch dash cam.

Default New lexus owner in san diego

I purchased a new 2024 RX450h+ AWD at the end of September. Iridium with Peppercorn interior.
While this is my first Lexus, I am hardly new to Toyota, as I have owned many, dating back to 1973, when I purchased my first Corolla SR5.
I wanted a PHEV and considered the RAV4 Prime and it's sister car the NX450h+ but, decided that the RX was a little larger, and more cushy.
Lexus finally made the grille on the RX a little less obtrusive on the Gen5 models. I have never been a fan of the giant grille craze that seems to sweeping the
automobile industry of late. I added a WeatherTech cargo mat in their color Cocoa, which is pretty much a dead match for the Peppercorn seats. Overall, I am impressed with the quietness and acceleration of this RX, despite the 2.5L 4 cylinder engine. No regrets on my purchase whatsoever.

Wow that's pricey. My Prem + was 60K. I'm sure that drives so quite and smooth with that electric motor. Although the 450h+ wasn't available when I got my 350h, I don't think I would have spent an extra 20k+. I also refuse to put up with any dealer addons. Good luck with ur new car.

Here in Canada it only comes in the top trim at MSRP $92, 983.25 before tax and after taxes is $103,816.25, needless to say out of my budget range.

What color is that now, StefanoS? It looks like the wrap is blue with flat film.

Yes, it was pricey. With all of the Japan installed options, it was at $76K. The other $6K was for a KARR security system and the ceramic coating and interior protectant on all surfaces. This had been done by the franchise dealership after they received the car from the mother ship. These are known profit makers for all franchises. If I had the option, I would have declined these. The four Lexus dealers in the San Diego area are all cranking the retail price up dramatically, not to mention, there's a waiting list for their upcoming allocations. One of the local dealers told me that they had a red one on the floor and it was available. A quick trip down there revealed that this was purely a bait and switch attempt on their part to get me into some other vehicle. The red one had already been sold. I drove North to another dealer outside San Diego county after speaking with them on the phone and demanding that they actually had this vehicle there and it had not been sold yet. I even told them of my previous issue with Lexus of San Diego. Yeah, I paid a premium for it, it was most likely a $1000 to $1500 cost to that dealership. The RAV4 Prime units in this area are selling for $6K to $10K over the Monroney sticker right now so, I suppose I did not do too bad. I couldn't handle the giant black grille on the NX450h+, hence my choice of the RX450h+.

Stefanos, I feel your pain. Supply and demand 101. These greedy dealers know they have the upper hand if you really want the car you are stuck paying for all this fluff. I totally agree with you on the "predator" grill on the NX450h. Enjoy your beautiful car.

Hi folks, new member here. I've appreciated all the insights and sharings, which were helpful on my purchase journey. Last time I was in a Lexus was in 2012 in an ES 350 and I'm glad to be "back in the family". Was most recently in a '16 RAV 4 XLE which I'm planning to Carvana. Really wanted to get a RAV 4 Prime XSE but as everyone knows, they are scarce and mark-ups are high.

Had put down a $1K deposit last week for a sweet Iridium RX 350h Premium+ (macadamia, running boards - particularly excited abt this, illuminated door sills, body side moldings, mud guards, paint protection) that was supposed to arrive in the next couple of weeks. A few days ago, my rep calls me and says there's an Iridium 450h+ Luxury (peppercorn, not my fav but ok) and asked if I was interested. Naturally, I was, but after seeing the price tag below, I passed.
- ~$69K msrp
- ~$5.5K factory and port installed packages (convenience/tech packages, triple LED, ML audio, kick sensor
- $1.4K DPH
- >$10K market adjustment

My rep knew I wanted to extra 50+hp that came with the plug-in and said she'd do her best to reduce the mkt adjustment with her manager. She was able to get it down to <$5K as I would go to the dealership for servicing and also purchase a 5-yr maintenance plan - I felt this quid was synergistic. Additionally, there is $7.5K cash back on leases through the end of the month, so jumped on that. I'm fortunate as I only started looking on 10/7 and was able to pick up my ride today, so quick turnaround. The two other 450h+ that were destined for the dealership were also snapped up before they hit the floor.

I've only had a few hours with the vehicle but love many aspects of it so far. The ride quality is everything you'd expect from a Lexus and the extra juice is nice given it's a heavy vehicle. Other cool things: Iridium paint is da bomb, heads-up display is cool, nice large screen and wireless charging. However, I'm going to be nitpicky and mention a few minor things that annoyed me:
- Cheap looking plastic on some parts of the dash, screen, shades/glove compartment
- Needing to change drive modes (eco/sport) through the screen vs. a ****/button
- Overly complicated shifter; just bring back the regular P, R, N, D shifting already
- Rear view mirror was narrower than my wife's Highlander Hybrid (I think)
- EV mileage went down pretty quickly, likely due to the jubilance of picking up the car. I only have a regular outlet so will need to be diligent abt charging overnight
- No running boards . Rep said they didn't go with the Luxury trim

Thank for reading this long post. Here are some pics and good luck to the rest of you who are waiting for vehicles and/or trying to get those market adjustments in-line.
