I wish you had reached out. I would have gotten your hybrid below 2% MSRP and gas models at 8% off MSRP.

VA is notorious for high docs fees, some as high at $1500. NY is the best at $175

On a 2023 model? I have seen better discounts on 2022 but not on the new ones esp the hybrids. What dealer?

For those of us who may be in the market soon for a new RX:
  • Are you with a Lexus dealer or a broker?
  • What geographic areas can you offer this pricing for?
  • What sort of wait time would be expected?
  • Anything else potential buyers should know?
On a related note, since you appear to be plugged in to RX sales, I'm just wondering if you are seeing any RX 500h F Sport models coming off the boat that aren't fully loaded. I haven't seen one yet that doesn't approach $70K. We all have different priorities in a vehicle. I can't imagine paying for Traffic Jam Assist when I live in a rural area, or triple beam headlamps when I rarely drive in the dark (I'm old.)

Thanks

Thanks for the data points on the doc fees... what have you seen for California? I've only heard/read of a range between $175 - $599.

I think CA has an $80 max for doc fees. No trade-in credit towards taxes. High DMV fees.

I wasn't interested in Bellevue's (forced) extras (I really do not like the blinking third brake light on other vehicles and don't want it on mine). Not sure that helps others - likely won't be an issue for 1Louder though.
Bellevue and Fife are both owned by The O'Brien Auto Group. Lots of money in Bellevue so they can pretty much dictate terms. They don't do the market adjust meant they have mandatory dealer add ons. paint protection, chip guard etc. But the good news is they sell at MSRP ;-)

The 350h has a waiting list. They'lll take a $1,000 refundable deposit and put you on the list. ETA 45-90 days.

Supply and demand. Right now, the demand is exceeding the supply

I just picked up my matador red, black interior 350h. It came in about a month after I “ordered” it. Around $62,000 including a $1699 add on.

Are you familiar with Car Edge (formerly YAA). They coach people on how to buy a car and what the best deals they have seen in a particular geographic area. I joined them for a 3 month period and they had some good advice. Are you interested in sharing you contact info with the forum and Care Edge. They could refer buyers to you. You obviously have a fee for your service. My car was approx 60K(hybrid) 2% off would be $1200.00 less your fee. Not sure if it would have been worth it esp if your network dealers are far from my home (VA) but 8% is almost 5k on a non hybrid.

I was having my 2016 RX serviced when a hauler arrived and unloaded a nori green 2023 RX, with Luxury package, Here, the dealership won't negotiate the sticker price because of the demand. In fact, they add $699 "closing cost" to the sticker price , plus any added dealer installed options. I ended up paying $65K for mine. My only "saving" was from paying cash instead of the interest rate, if I had financed the car.

He has a thread in the vendor section of this forum, but I notice he didn't update it with the March availability data:

Default big day

After months of searching and negotiating, we go to NH to get our car today. Interested to see how it drives, how the four cylinder engine compares, fit of the gas cap door, quality of the all season mats and cargo mat, all that stuff. The only question is how much time will the dealer take twisting our arms to buy all the stuff we will not buy, e.g. extended warranty, scratch and dent repair, clear coat (Jerry Lundegaard says hi)...for our 2013, the combined price for these extras (all of which we declined and got berated for it) was $9800...LOL. Of course, in retrospect, we would have used none of these extras because we bought a quality car and it has been flawless in the ten years we've had it.
