Well yes, in general the northeast gets reduced allocations for the winter months (salesman told me) because "no one here buys cars in the winter" - but of course we had no real winter here this year, my preferred dealer got very few RXes in March actually, I am hoping that improves now that April is here.

Tried looking for the 350H but all had the stupid dealer cost. I put in my interest in one 350H and has a sales guy call me. He told me it would be 5k markup. Waited a few days and said screw it, might as well go for the 500h or even a gas 350. Called my local dealer and talked to someone who said they could do maybe a 3k markup instead of the usual 5k since I was local. Said I would think about it and then called back my previous sales guy and told him hey I want the the 350 gas model. Told him about the "discount" that was offered and he said hold on. Ended up getting the RX350 Luxury in Iridium for 3k off MSRP paid all in cash. After taxes and fees it was $68500 out the door. I guess it kind of worked out.

This is on top of the dealer addons on the window sticker (like mudguards, floor liners, cargo mat) correct?

Correct.
I straight up with him about the mark up, he said yes, but there is the benefit for it, I will get 5 years interior warranty.
Edit: I saw their mudguards just black plastic, no matching paint, so disappointed.

Mudguards and the like are usually port installed options on the build allocation. Dealer could add them though on top of what Lexus allocated on the build.

What’s an interior warranty?

Here the "markup" is $699 and they call it closing costs. I asked the sales reps and even the array of "managers" and nobody could explain what "closing costs involved. I wasn't buying a house...I was buying a freakin' car. I paid cash, so there were no title fees, finance costs, etc. This goes back to the 80s when there was a shortage of Japanese made cars. The sticker read, "Added Dealer Profit." At least they were honest.

They don't want to charge customer for nothing, The salesman mentioned.

what does paying cash have to do with title fees? You still have to title the car.

I noticed here our local Lexus (Autonation) dealer has started showing discounts on the turbo RX on their website. Only a few hundred, but it's a start. Still MSRP on the hybrid.

I'm in no rush so I'll keep checking this valuable thread and wait until I can walk in to a dealership and look, touch and test drive all trims and options that I want before deciding to do anything, aiming at either a loaded gas 350 or 500H

Scanning Lexus' Canadian site, it looks like prices here are way up for the more premium levels.
