Just saw a Chicago ad for 2023 Lexus premium lease 39 months at $699 mo. With 7,000 down! That’s insane! Sales tax is extra! I leased my 2017 for $560/36 months nothing down including sales tax! Looks like after 9 RX’s I wont be getting another one.

I'm not the OP, but here's one source that showed some different numbers. They have been making some 350h premium models so even that chart is wrong, or has been changed since.

You can go look at any Lexus dealer website and compare the ratio of 350 to 350h. It's around 10:1 from what I've seen. Not a perfect method, but close enough.

Way back in one of these threads, someone posted the presentation materials for the dealer network - 17% 350h, 10% 500h, 73% 350. Maybe they change that if they have enough parts to make more hybrids, because they have clearly underestimated demand for the 350h given that its the same price as the 350awd. I also question if they can sell 10% as the 500h (once the initial demand bubble clears) - not too many performance buyers in this segment for Lexus, performance buyers look to the Germans in this segment.

I suspect that since a large percentage of luxury vehicles are leased, the historical (planned?) sales numbers by model don't/won't apply while interest rates are so high, making leases really expensive.

I'm looking for a 2023 RX350+ (Gas) here in the Los Angeles Area and found a car that's at the dock. The dealer recommends that I put a $1k reservation down to reserve the car. Ive never don't this before. Any downside to this? Any recommendations before I do this? Also, does anyone have any prices they've paid for this model? Buy at Sticker? Anyone get under? I wanted to get the hybrid, but the dealers are all telling me they are getting anywhere from 3 to 5K price adjustment, which is pushing me to the gas model

I've had $500 down since October, haven't discussed final price yet until a car (gas) with my options actually is available. The 350h is 17% of production. Still, that kind of markup seems excessive, but it is California where "green" vehicles are in huge demand. If your specific car is already in-transit, I don't see any reason why a deposit is a bad thing. You could call around to other dealers to ask about competitive pricing before putting the deposit down - it's refundable by law anyway.

Deposits are up to the individual dealerships. Once supply catches up with demand, most that are requesting deposits will stop unless it is truly a special order.

I think in most markets has versions are available work short lead times and in most cases no deposits.

Hybrids are more popular due to significant fuel economy improvement as well as regular gas versus premium for gas version.

In this market with more financial uncertainty and high interest rates, not many will be paying over MSRP anymore.

Dealers are still trying to make it sound hotter that it is to keep ripping people off.

I got on the "list" in July to purchase the RX and did not have to put down a deposit. I had a friend do the same in Louisville and he did have to put down a deposit of $1,000 Just picked up our 2023 RX 350 Luxury yesterday at Hennessy Lexus in Atlanta where in the past we have purchased a 2001 RX, 2010 RX and 2016 RX. MSRP on the 2023 was $64,810. The first and second offers from them included Ceramic coating ($4,995) and APEX ( I think some kind of maintenance program) and a few other things adding up to about $8,000 of fluff. The second offer included various versions of the above, but lowered the fluff down to about $4,000. The third and final (after me reminding them that this would be my 4th RX purchase and dealer maintenance on 2 LS's over the last 30 years, brought the purchase price down to MSRP + window tinting of $295 for front two windows and $95 nitro for the tires.First time I've had windows tinted and they were willing to remove that-I didn't bother arguing about the nitro. Of course in the finance room ( i paid cash) the finance guy started all over with the extras but after a polite "let's save us both time" we closed in about 10 minutes.

Probably not much help to you in California, but the reduction in price down to MSRP only took about 3 exchanges in emails.

For those in the LA Area - I just put a deposit down for a 23 RX350H Premium + and paid sticker, plus 1K for interior "permaplate" protection warranty for 3 years - they would only sell at sticker if I bought the warranty.
I had called around to several LA dealerships and all wanted between 2 to 4k price adjustment for the hybrid, other than Longo, but they had very long wait list as they sell at sticker. However, few had the color combo I wanted, so I pulled the trigger and put down a deposit of $500 - the car is being made in Canada next month in Feb.
