Lexus of Bellevue imposes aftermarket parts that the buyer MUST purchase in addition to the “MSRP” price of the vehicle. No different than paying markup but in this case instead of getting nothing, you get $3600 worth of “Marked-up” garbage in return

They force-sell this stuff for $3600 and it probably costs the dealer less than $1000. But it’s a free market. They are free to insist on this no-so-hidden markup, and the customer is free to suck it up or buy elsewhere.
I'm inclined to agree that the markup nonsense won't last much longer...I'm going to wait. Fully agree with you guys about the dealer added junk, just no way I pay for that (I still remember the "winter" mats the dealer sold me 10 years ago, absolute pieces of junk...had to go get some Weather Tek mats which actually were functional.
In light of the above, I've been thinking that the most cost effective option for me would be to pay full price but order ONLY what I want....will they let me do that? We'll see. For example, I saw one car coming in to a dealer that met my basic needs, but it had options for an $1100 larger display and a $750 heated steering wheel, neither of which I want. I'd rather wait months and get what I want.
We're driving to Florida and then staying for a month in NC...we'll pass a ton of Lexus dealerships along our route, we'll see what they're willing to do as time goes on.
New guy here. I have decided I want to get an RX350h with the following attributes.
- Premium Plus
- White exterior
- Macadamia/Ash Bamboo Interior
- HUD
- 21 Levinson
- Pano view monitor
- Adv Park
- Traffic Jam Assist
- Pano glass roof
- Power rear door
- Heated/Vent rear seats
Pretty set on the above colors and options. I am willing to wait. In the opinion of the group, could this car exist someday? Too specific?

I haven’t seen all these options available for premium plus. It seems that these options are easier to find on a luxury trim.

sounds like what I want, except for the color. Adv park is iffy. I have parking assist in my Mercedes. Have never used it. If you’re parallel parking, who ever is behind you is going to be upset because of how long it takes. In a parking lot it goes between cars. It won’t pull in where there are several empty spots. I don’t think.
Based on my convo with one of the local dealers, they're only selling the ones that being allocated to them. I provided the color and spec I'm looking for and the rep is showing me what's coming in soon. This specific dealer isn't doing waitlist like some others.

Interesting...I should write a piece about my upcoming 3000 round trip drive to find an RX that isn't feloniously priced....there sure are a number of expensive options I don't want...

@MrTuckers after thinking about it I am glad we got these extras because I'd like the RX to be exterior ceramic coated and interior protected, planning to purchase rubber mats but currently out of stock at my local dealership, i hate that Pulse system and Lojack for security reasons. So all in all I think we sort of have a piece of mind just in case it happens instead of "oh we shouldve done this or that"
I special ordered my 2021 RX350 since I wanted Moonbeam Beige Metallic. There was a $100 order charge and was told it would take 3 months. They lost the order and had to resubmit it. I eventually got my car after 4.5 months. It was delivered exactly as ordered. Worth asking the dealer if special order is an option for 2023.
I’m following your progress as I see we are in the same state! We have similar tastes in selections, and I’m waiting for spring! Hopefully the supply will improve then .. Any hope of aMark Levinson?
