Don't misplace the one she has. My wife did 4 hours away. Solution is buy a new FOB if you can find one, tow car to Lexus for programming. Fortunately she found it 2 days later.

You can buy a second fob at most dealers and have them program it if you don't want to wait. In my case when I went to buy a FOB at my dealer, since I thought I had a 4-hour drive ahead of me, my salesman said it's free since we owe you one anyway.

Nope. Time for Lexus to get me a second fob. Almost eight months is long enough.

I agree!

The cost of the keys were all factored into the cost of the vehicle that customers already paid.

Lexus collected the money, but did not deliver the products. They are holding on to people's money.

They should either refund the full cost of second key or provide the products they already collected money to deliver.

Just about every single problem here is a relatively minor First World problem,
I'm about to post ANOTHER First World Problem, LOL...

Ours is now supposed to arrive by the end of September - likely still a 2023. If it does not come with two key fobs, I ain't taking it. A contract is a contract is a contract.

Default Timeline for 2nd Key Fob for 2023 RX models

When I got my RX350 in May, I was given a paper that had estimated dates for delivery of the 2nd key fob based on production date of vehicles. Can anyone confirm if they have received theirs yet, and if you were notified by your vehicle/app notification or a phone call or email from your dealer? I would really like to have the 2nd key fob sooner rather than later.

Bought the car end of January 2023 with a 01/23 production sticker, and still no letter, no e-mail, nothing.

This timeline has been around for awhile now. CBU most likely is Japan built and NAP Canada. There is a long thread about this at the link below. I picked up my RX 350h in early December 2022, built in Canada in November 2022. I got an email from Lexus in July stating that my key should be available in September 2023, which matches the timeline below. No updates since.

I just bought a RX350 Luxury, manufactured in Canada in July (last month). Now I keep getting a notification on the display that a new key has been registered and to contact the dealership. Upon calling them, it was explained that the message just means that you have another fob coming to you. When? No one knows...

No. Whoever told you that has no clue. The message will go away in a few days to a week. It’s just because the car is new. You’ll get the message again for about a week once the second key is paired to the car, and when pairing Digital Key if you have that option.

Yeah. Amazing. The dealership will tell you anything. Darryl is right.

Darryll40. I'm in Pittsburgh as well. Got mine from Lexus of North Hills.

Yea, I knew the explanation was b*ll*****, but wasn't going to make a big deal out of it. I figure I will wait a month or so and bring it to someone's attention then.

The message will be gone by then. I’ve had cars from them, but got this one on West Liberty Ave. Both are owned by the same group.

They used to be good dealerships for service but hard to negotiate price. My prior car was bought in Cleveland. Since Covid it’s a different world. They seem ok still, but it’s a seller’s market (for now) and the level of tailpipe kissing is now nil.

I bought an 05 there as well, and with the ' 23 they didn't negotiate hardly at all. Some things never change.

Whether or not the message is on the screen, I plan on rattling the cages in about a month or so. Tired of hearing of supply/chip issues. We're way beyond C19...
