Just got a Service Campain notification in my Lexus app for my Second Key Delivery. Did not receive and email or regular mail notification. Keep an eye on your Lexus app as it may be the first notification you receive.

Now the concern. The remedy states, "Refer to the table in the attached FAQ to determine the remedy status and dates that Lexus estimates the remedy will become available for each model". There is no attached FAQ. Guess I'll be calling the dealer in the morning.

Build date 11/22
Purchase date 1/26/23

11/22 must be one of the earliest build dates.

Just heard from Lexus (called them about another issue) that my second fob was ready. Build date of 12/23. Called the dealership and the earliest they could schedule was two weeks out. Apparently the fobs are not at the dealership and have to be ordered. Given what I’ve already waited, I’m fine with 2 weeks

Build date of 12/23? That's in the future, I guess you meant 12/22?

Sounds like the small run of 2022 builds are getting keys.

My Lexus App was updated with the Service Campaign message also. Called the dealer and asked about the Service Campaign per the app. The service person wanted me to pick a day to come in, even offering tomorrow, but I knew from other posts that it takes minimally one business day to get the key. I chose Friday just in case. She then transferred me to parts, again as I have read on other threads. The parts guy asked if I was buying a second key, had to explain it to him. He said the keys usually are received the next business day, but it might take longer due to the shortage. Waiting for a call tomorrow if it comes in.

My car was built in 11/22 and my digital window sticker is dated 11/5/22.

"phased implementation" is the key phrase there. Could mean anything.

I think the current "phase" are the late 2022 builds, which is a small number of cars really. Production really didn't get ramped up until 1Q2023. But hey, at least something is moving.

Call the dealer and scheduled an appointment for tomorrow (Friday). They were going to verify they had the FOB and if not, they would call back and reschedule the appointment. No callback so I guess it's a go.

Finally after 10 months. I had an appointment for 7am, but never heard from the parts department if the key had arrived. Called them at 7am before I waisted a trip. It was in, but they never bothered to call. The service person said it would take an hour, but it was closer to 2 (1 hour 50 minutes). Got a chance to get in a 5 mile morning beach walk while waiting.

2 hours to program it, or was that the general wait in the service area? I can't see how it takes more than 5 minutes to program it.

That was the wait time. They never get to my car early, that is why I usually ask for a loaner. I figured this should not take hours to do and I took off from work, so I used the time to get a walk in.

it took them nearly two hours to program my key from the time they pulled it into the shop. I have no idea how much time they actually spent on programming, maybe they played cards and had a few cocktails, but we were a bit surprised at how long it took.

I'm now the proud owner of 2 key fobs. In and out in 1 hour. Got home and associated one fob to my profile and the other to my wife's. Everything works as expected.

Build date 11/22
Purchase date 1/26/23
2nd fob date 9/1/23
