How many Key Fob are included with new RX?

Thanks good to see! I sent a letter to BBB on the issue. Response from Lexus was the standard line about chip shortage and how I would be sent a "first class letter" when a fob was available. Purchased car in Feb but no letter yet.

I know I'm beating a dead horse, but I don't know how they can blame a chip shortage. You paid for your car in full, yet they are shipping a key fob with each new car that is built but not yet paid for.

They didn't have enough chips to make 2 for each car, apparently.

Yes, it went very smoothly.... In and out in 1 hour. Had some trouble setting up wife for using the second key, but that's another tale. They did NOT do anything other than give me the car back and say 'here's the 2nd key, may the force be with you'. Even after getting her setup, my settings are now kinda screwed up and I keep getting a message that 'a new key has been registered'. The battle continues, but a major step forward...

Just found this from another thread, FYI....
■ If "A New Key has been Registered Contact Your Dealer for Details" is displayed This message will be displayed each time the driver's door is opened when the doors are unlocked from the outside for approximately one week after a new electronic key has been registered.

Got an email today that our second key should be available in December 2023. Our build month was April 23. It says we should receive a letter that month.

I'm concerned. I received a similar email that I'd receive my 2nd fob in December 2023. However, the same email stated I was supposed to receive one fob and two metal keys at delivery. I did not receive the second metal key. I only received one fob with a key inside that fob.
I wonder if the dealer is going to give me a hard time when I pickup my 2nd fob and request they comp me the metal key they didn't give me originally.
