How many Key Fob are included with new RX?

I'm concerned. I received a similar email that I'd receive my 2nd fob in December 2023. However, the same email stated I was supposed to receive one fob and two metal keys at delivery. I did not receive the second metal key. I only received one fob with a key inside that fob.
I wonder if the dealer is going to give me a hard time when I pickup my 2nd fob and request they comp me the metal key they didn't give me originally.

This got me thinking, asked the wife where the second key was. It took her too long to remember where she put it. There are going to be people that misplaced theirs.

Just finished reading your post when I got a new email message from Lexus. Got very excited thinking that I might get my second key soon! However, it was just the "We know this is a major inconvenience but we're working through the global semiconductor shortage, we'll notify you when it's available."
Guess I should have known better as I have a May / June build date with delivery in July! Oh well...............

I even asked my salesman why they give the 2nd mechanical (only) key at delivery - "so we don't lose it before the FOB comes".

Great news! I just received a letter from Lexus Canada stating they were ready to give me the second key for my RX350. I bought the car in December of last year so almost a year with only one key.

I got my first class mail letter from Lexus today informing me that my key that I ordered and picked up 25 days ago is ready and that I should contact the dealer. Go Lexus!!!

What does this mean? Is this the default second FOB that we're all waiting for, or did you specifically order one, perhaps at extra cost?

I purchased my RX350 in mid Jan 2023. Saw the recall campaign appear in the app late August. Got my key a few days later, in and out in an hour, and then the snail mail from Lexus on 9/25. Same scenario. Happy that drama is over. Now I can focus on how horrible the user interface is for the media system.... What a complete piece of garbage.
One note... After you get your new key you will see a message 'for about a week' that a new key has been registered. I can confirm that. Mine lasted 9-10 days, then disappeared just they said it would.

I just called Lexus to get a key update for my vehicle. I purchased in Jan 2023 and car was built in Feb 2023. They looked up the vehicle Vin # and said my car is in "phase 3" of the 2nd key roll out. I am suppose to get a letter or email in Oct 2023. Once I get that it usually takes 1-2 weeks to make a dealer appt to get the key and its programming. I'm hopeful but not holding my breath.
