How many Key Fob are included with new RX?
#496
I got my letter today (Tuesday) for my RX 350, purchased in Nov 22. I called the dealer today and have an appointment for Thursday to come in and get the new fob programmed and picked up. Will wonders ever cease?

In canada they are still selling them with 1 Fob and you can NOT even buy a second fob. Even if I pay for it.
Lexus put a stop sale on key fobs for dealers. That is not good for multi driver households and people with bad memory that can't remember where they left their keys.

Just a quick update. Second key came in as planned and has been programed and given to me. only took them 10 months to provide something that should have come with the car! but that's Lexus exceptional service for you ha ha ha.

Just purchased our RX in July. There's a local locksmith that advertises full programming for auto transponders. I called to see what a '23 Lexus RX would run. Programming is only $56USD. Nice. But seems not just any 'ol 4 button fob will work. Has to be a Lexus fob. And those? About $450, for a blank. Even the locksmith went "wow". Guess we'll wait that nearly a year, like everyone else.

it is now October and no key fob.
ALSO, I happen to know that some people who are buying Lexus cars now are getting 2 key fobs when we are still waiting for ours.
I am not sure why this is being made out to be your fault. This is totally unacceptable. If I lose this one key I am screwed.

This isn’t happening with RXs yet but it will one day. Lexus has to stop it eventually because it’s costing them a lot of money and doing this for years until everyone is caught up first makes no sense financially. Not mention it just pisses off even more buyers than are already upset.

Like the previous purchaser mentioned, the sales folk won't tell you that you get only one key until after you've purchased the vehicle (typical car salesman tactics). For me, it's a great inconvenience because my wife and I use both the Lexus and another vehicle at different times, so we usually each have both keys,
My experience with Lexus has been disappointing, the vehicle, the weird electronics, and the sales folk. This will probably be the last Lexus I get.
