I'm going in tomorrow for the second key, and the free carwash. Yesterday it drizzled here, attracting a bit of dust. Can't have that on Copper Crest.

We received a letter in the mail saying ours will be going to the dealership in December and we would be notified when to get it synced in. They said when we bought ours that it was due to the chip shortage, that you only got one to start with.

 

finally got our letter today, eight months after we bought the car...(we complained and got the second key in the summer).

 

Got my 2nd key fob available notice via the Lexus app today; purchased in late July. Will call the dealer tomorrow to set up when I do my 5k service.

 

I received the following notification through the Lexus app today. Is this the notification that the key is ready? We bought the car in July 2023.

 

Hope so. I just received the same notice as a Service Campaign via the app.

 

I got the same message and called my dealer. They confirmed my key fob is available and scheduled an appointment to get it configured.

 

So I got the notification my second key is at the dealer where I purchased my RX. Problem is I live over 200 miles one way from the dealer. The dealer I purchased from is the closest dealer to me. Has anyone recieved any compensaion from Lexus for having to return to the dealer to get the 2nd key programed?

Wishful thinking but that unfortunately will never happen.

 

I must admit... I'm thoroughly disgusted with Lexus. We've been buying from Lexus for almost 30 years, but I'm considering not buying again if I don't get my second key before Christmas, I'm out. We got our car in May.

 

Is this a Toyota only problem?

 

No, many omited features from cars; period. Even if it was too be included.

Germans, GM, Ford and Stellantis included. As everyone catches up those are coming back.

 

To me, not having the second transponder is a minor inconvenience. Would I like to have two right now? Well, yeah but, it is not really a big deal. It will get here when it gets here.

 

Just picked up my wife's 2024 UX250h and it came with two FOBs, I am still waiting for my second FOB for my RX that I got in Jun. Sales guy was very quick to tell me that I was still in the que to get a second one. Cheers
