@djrees Where did you see the message that a new key was available ?
I believe I also saw it briefly on the instrument panel were it shows reminder messages. Was at the dealer yesterday to by some floor mats
, asked a service advisor about it. He looked me up by name and told me it is available and asked when I would like to make an appointment.

This is interesting, as my car gave me the message that a new key has been registered, but I never got any message in the iPhone Lexus app or by email. I requested the my sales rep. to follow up - as I feel pretty positive from what I hear from you/others here (and the car's message) that my keyfob is at the dealer as well. I think South Bay Area dealers handle so much "volume" that unless they are well-managed they are never on top of things like these - customers are just statistics for them to process.

You get that message occasionally on the dash, AFTER the new key has been registered to the car. Goes away after a week or so.
That is a FLAG in case some scoundrel has intercepted your FOB's signal and is waiting to drive your RX away....

It would display if a new fob was registered... not if someone had "intercepted" your existing fob signal.

Some thieves intercept FOB signals from high-end cars, but then they register their own FOBs to steal your car, later. Or, to enable the HomeLink, to get into your house!

We were given 2 mechanical keys and one fob. I assumed the spare mechanical KEY is a pair for the card style key. So it is really for the 2nd Fob, whenever we will get it? It frustrates me sometimes when companies use semi con shortage. They gave us a credit card style key that I don't want in the first place. They should have just taken that chip on that card and put in a fob!!
