How many Key Fob are included with new RX?

My husband and I had the same problem - paid for the RX, was told it was ready then when I got into it I saw the ONE fob in the cup holder. I asked where the other one was and as told it could take 5 - 6 months to get here. Never was told anything about that before - it was a good thing that we HAD to leave right then because I would have let loose on them (maybe it is why my other half said "time to leave")

Thanks for the reply. I received only one fob and as I was walking out the door was told by the way the second one will only come in 4 to 6 months. I was told by the parts dept. today that they are treating it like a service recall and would get a letter in the mail letting me know when it would be available.

2nd Key Fob????????
Bought a 2024 RX500h last November and was told there was a chip shortage and I would get my second fob in March. That came and went and I was told I would be receiving it in May. May has come and gone with no fob. I called the dealership and the Lexus Customer Service line. The customer service rep told me someone would be getting back to me which didn't happen. The dealer now said Lexus informed them they are still delayed and I should get it by the end on this month (June). I feel this is just guessing on their part. Is there any way to purchase a second fob and get it to work with our car. I wonder if at the time of purchase I held my ground and said two fobs or no deal if they would have miraculously would have come up with one, Anyway I have learned my lesson. No sale unless I get two fobs at time of purchase.

Delay in Key Fobs
We purchased a new 2024 RX350 in May, and were given 1 key fob, promised a second shortly, and told we would receive a letter from Lexus when the other key fob was available. A month letter, having received no letter, I called Lexus customer service, and was told that we would receive a letter in October telling us when a 2nd key would be available. $70,000 car, 1 key, 5 month wait to receive a letter telling us when we might expect the 2nd key!!! No joke. You can't make this stuff up!!! And no heads-up before we purchased the car!!

Under that line of Lexus reasoning ("warranty" !), you might want to try lemon law return of the car as well - it may very well fly under legal rubric of a lemon
