Six months and a week later, we now have our 2nd fob.

 

Same here 6 month waiting for a 2nd key. Just got mine.

 

Just got my second fob, 5 month wait
They do not send you the second key, they notify you then you call the dealer to make sure its in stock or they order it. Mine took 2 weeks from notification via the app. Then, you have to go to the dealer to jave it programmed. I made an appointment, got there a little early and they told me it would take about 2 hours. I told them that was not acceptable, so the service manager (I assume) told them to do it immediately, so it only took about 40 minutes. Not overly impressed with Lexus service dept., MB was far better (albeit a lot more expensive).

 

Yes, back to the dealer for programming. No offer of anything for my gas, time or trouble.

 

Took possession of my 24' RX350 March 12, 2024 and will be getting second key October 2, 2024. Also noticed in the app that there is a software update needed FYI.

 

No Coffee or snack in the waiting room? lol

 

I do have to go in to have the key programed and will avail myself of the coffee and snacks!

 

60 days since I took delivery and I got the call t he other day that my second key was available.

 

I recieved 1. Was not told until it was time to sign the paperwork.

 

Amazing. I thought the supply is back to normal.

 

Just picked up a 350h today and got 2 fobs

 

bought rx450h+ sept 26 ish and came with one fob only - dealer said it would be sent to me somehow and would have to come in to be programmed. oh well! hopefully it still isnt 6 months

 

They will not send the key, you should get notified by mail or email but that sometimes doesn't happen, best way is to check your Lexus phone app messages once a week for the notification that your key is available, then just call your dealer for a programming appt.

 

Have you received your 2nd key yet? We purchased an RX in March 2024 & it has been 7 months & still no 2nd key even though Lexus has us in their system for the key.
